i dont remember gilmore being a big factor in games vs the pats. i really hope this isnt' a butler replacement

Gilmore makes a lot of sense, we needed the size. But im not sure im a fan if Butler is gone. Well if we can get a 1st to replace him i guess we will be fine but still..i like a butler.

If all this turns out to be is feeling Gilmore is a better corner and giving him the contract butler would have demanded you get the bonus of either both for the year with butler costing less than 4 mill or an extra first round pick which would replace the stolen one.

Good signing.

If they do lose Butler next year (or maybe if a team goes after him this year), at least we'll have a #1 CB.

Rowe is decent enough to be a solid #2 going forward.

I never feel bad for players but i kind feel bad for Butler who's done everything the right way and the Patriots have let continue to be criminally underpaid, if i was him i would be looking for a way out.

I wouldn't blame him if he held out or felt badly treated.

Wonder if Butler could be a part of a Cooks deal

Hate to see Butler go, but the thought of Brady throwing to Cooks pleases me. Gilmore is an adequate replacement for Butler if it comes to that.

6'1" 190 and ran a 4.38 at the combine with a 36" vertical and a 6.61 3 cone. Quite the specimen. And made the Pro Bowl this year. Loved Logan Ryan, but this is a big upgrade.

Butler deserves to be paid for the contributions he's made to two superbowl championship teams. I want him here for the rest of his career or at the very least his prime.

Am waiting to see the whole picture unfold before making any judgement. Either way it tells me Butler is gone this year (inside info on RFA deal or trade) or next year when you either have to franchise or pay him.
