Bill still loves those long guys that know how to use their length. He values them and there's not a lot of them so I could see him wanting another shot at a Flowers, Wise-type. One reason I think he'll make a play for Shelvin, McNeill early second round. Not many of those types around and we desperately need one.

Super quick, almost explosive first step for 320. Can anchor the middle but also disrupts on occasion.

Just tore his achilles so could be decent value if we can stash him with a late round pick. Aligned everywhere from 4-5T to 0. Wins with length, power, hand usage and motor. I could see him outside (4-5T) in an odd front early on and kicking in 0-3-4) on passing downs.

Shelvin and Odeyingbo i would love for our D-Line. Huge help against the run and hopefully Odeyingbo can be a Wise Upgrade against the Pass. His injury might help us getting both guys tbh.

Would not be surprised or mad if we go OL/DL. Back to back with our first two picks. Odey is a really fun player. Sux he got hurt and achilles is always tough. He wasn't winning with quicks or speed to begin with so we'll see what happens.

Yep, their should be some solid O-Liner available at 15 and Shelvin could be there in the second. With Odeyingbo's injury he might fall down to third or fourth and looks like a value steal there to me. Also fills in much need for DE help

Yeah that injury at the beginning of senior bowl hurts twice...

@BaconGrundleCandy ....brilliant , thanks for all these portions of film which gives us an idea on who to look out for. This year I think I will watch the senior bowl as it may give some insight as to who we (and others) could be drafting

I agree. It's in the trenches that you win. Would love to score on another Big Mike offensively. DL badly needed.

If I was a GM I would take best available OL or DL every first round pick. The body type is too rare and too valuable for anything else besides a franchise QB. Win in the trenches and everything else will follow.

This is why I believe that re-signing Thuney is imperative. He's the best Free Agent lineman available. With the ability of Onwenu to play LG, you out Thuney at Center and Herron/Draft pick at RT, you have the makings of an amazing line. One that would allow the Patriots to run WILD with Harris, Michel, Taylor, Bolden.

This would have immediate affect on the passing game and allow for our TEs to do more than block.

@BaconGrundleCandy - one of the Tweets mentioned that Dickinson was on the sidelines helping other players almost like a coach.. Do you think that would cause the Patriots to favor him over someone else like Shelvin?

Definitely, that's really the idea, what I want to do here. Just throw out as many prospects and give a little description on each.

Good question, kinda speaks to how they might slot players. I definitely believe Bill subscribes to the "planet theory" which kind of favors Shelvin. Plus I feel like there are more good centers available as opposed to guys like Shelvin - legit 325+ dumpster trucks that can up doubles and push a pocket. Him, McNeill, the kid from OSU, a few others and that's pretty much it. Slim pickings these days for that type.
@BaconGrundleCandy - What's your take on Grambling's IOL David Moore (6'1 - 350) ? Phil Perry had him as someone the Pats might look at..
Moore is a treat to watch and I can see the Mason comp's. He really jumps off the line. I mean he explodes and directs his weight in the right direction with almost built in leverage at his size. Dude is a bulldozer, motor that doesn't quit and carries all that weight very well. Seems to have good hands, battles counters and handles moves with ease but the competition will obviously a lot fiercer. Tons of fight and effort. He's a linemen through and through. Someone who might not offer versatility but loves his doing job, loves getting dirty.

Back to Mason, Moore is a better pass protector coming out but Shaq faced better comp across the board no doubt. Moore definitely looks like a player though. If you're a team that wants to run he's your man.

You can be hurting in a lot of areas but as long as you have a good OL/DL you're never far away.

You could have the GOAT QB but without a competent OL to work with you're struggling for 8 wins.

Not quite A Gibson but another "weapon", WR/RB option. If I'm an OC I want this type, Deebo Samuel, maybe a K Toney ... Specifically for my first two-three drives but really the first 15-20 plays. I want to really utilize & maximize their skills early on. Make the defense think, react, change some looks before targeting the more traditional pass catchers (WR/TE) Probably a dumb thought it's just stats show RB's are more effective & efficient early in the game.
I love White, I do wish we sent & targeted him on more routes though. I know he has a ton of rec's but I think there's a little room for improvement there. Again not so much White but more on Josh & how we use him, our RB in the passing game.

Your work is as good as your name mmm bacon *drool* and I appreciate the clips and insights as I watch zero college ball and know nothing about the prospects besides height, weight, and position. Just curious about your evaluation as far as what you value, how important to you is production over potential? How big a jump in grade does someone get for hitting prototype size, speed, strength numbers? Any brain dead meidiot can draft a top 5 guy who has the stats, the school, and the right body type its alot harder when something is missing.

So you have two DEs the first is 6'6 275 built like a Greek god, runs a 4.5, puts up 30 reps, and plays in the SEC. You put on the tape and he has 10 high light reel plays where he flashes but when you watch entire games besides those plays he is invisible. 2nd guy is 6'1 240 runs a 4.9 and does 20 reps, plays in a smaller school. Doesn't have great numbers but every time you watch him he is go go go and while he doesn't get sacks he is a disruptive force that consistently makes the other teams life difficult. What kind of grades are you giving these guys, where are you drafting them, and which one do you want on your team?

Similar concept but with recievers. First guy is 6'2 225 with 4.3 speed and makes 1 Holy **** catch a game but ends the season with 40 receptions 4 TDs. Versus I'm thinking Eldeman here who only has off the chart quickness everything else being ok at best.

Please please don't fall for Mac Jones's incredible accuracy and great leadership and winning.

I've read people comparing him to Brady.

And so many look at their so-called "unathletic bodies" and great accuracy, and leadership, and football know-how--and they need to be reminded that on top of this Brady has something that Mac Jones does not and that is a strong arm.

One pass by Jones yesterday had observers oohing and ahhing over its accuracy. In the NFL, it would have been a pick!

Don't fall for it. He is much more Eli Manning than he is Tom Brady.
