Eh, they have Bolton Tranquil and Chenal. I don’t think he’d get the role he’s looking for.The Chiefs will sign him I bet.

I'm thinking EaglesGood call out, I was thinking Steelers or Ravens.
They will use 1 or 2 Lbs per down, depending upon situationwith the amount of cap space they have available I’m not really sure of the need to save $5 mm in salary by cutting him. I’d prefer they have at least given him the opportunity to compete for snaps/a roster spot in training camp.
Before this move I thought they were all set at backer and going to avoid to position in the draft. Now I think they absolutely draft a linebacker.
I always appreciated a thumper, but to often he ran to the wrong gap.Like what he did here but I am glad we are moving on from the dinosaur era of linebackers. No more big 260 pound plodders. Finally we are blasting into modern football with smaller, faster, sideline to sideline linebackers.
Not a big deal when they ended up with like 12 captains last year. lolI figured Tavai would be the first to go versus Bentley, since Bentley is just plain better at what he does, is a team captain, and doesn’t have PR controversy around him. But for cap impact Bentley was easier to let go of. Guess that’s the route they chose. Good luck to him going forward, but very interesting that we’re now down 5 captains from last year (Bentley, Wise, Brissett, J Jones, Andrews).
If they view Tavai not only not as a fit to the team, including team culture, they'll probably keep him through until the start of the regular season and then try to trade him. If they can't trade him, they'll cut him. I know his cap hit is 5 times that of Bentley's (under 7M), but they could also view other players as being worthy of the playing time (and that's not counting who they get in the draft and/or who they might get before the 2025 Trade Deadline). I'm not saying that I'm certain that Tavai is gone from the team this season, but I'm more inclined to believe that he's not with the team for 2025.I figured Tavai would be the first to go versus Bentley, since Bentley is just plain better at what he does, is a team captain, and doesn’t have PR controversy around him. Should of sold my Bentley Helmet last year I’ll never learn.I always appreciated a thumper, but to often he ran to the wrong gap.
It will be interesting this summer to see who the captains will be.Not a big deal when they ended up with like 12 captains last year. lol
Looks like I’m wrong and Jones wasn’t a captain last year. So only 4 are gone. Seems like they had 6 originally - Wise, Bentley, Peppers, Andrews, Brissett, Cardona - and when Bentley went down they added Dugger and when Andrews went down they added Henry. Not a big deal when they ended up with like 12 captains last year. lol
I am guessing Spillane is one. Maybe also Morgan Moses, he definitely speaks like a captain. It will be interesting this summer to see who the captains will be.
I think it’s Moses, Henry, and Maye on offense. Cardona keeps his ST captain spot. Defense has had a ton of turnover, possible Dugger keeps his spot as the long-termer here on defense now. Very doubtful Peppers remains captain, I think…. But I guess we’ll see based on how the chemistry emerges on the defense in training camp.I am guessing Spillane is one. When you are 4-13, get your coach fired and have many public comments that rub fans the wrong way, captain is a bot on your record more than a good star. Not a big deal when they ended up with like 12 captains last year. lol
My belief is they are keeping him because a) under 30, healthy, and productive and b) no savings if cut.If they view Tavai not only not as a fit to the team, including team culture, they'll probably keep him through until the start of the regular season and then try to trade him. CardonaOh well, thanks for the work you've put in Bentley! The best of luck!
Just FYI. With Bentley and Andrews gone there is now only 1 member on this team who was part of any super bowl win they had on the active roster (no coaches!).
You win 1 internet if you can say who without looking it up.
Why would he not be a fit with the team culture? If they view Tavai not only not as a fit to the team, including team culture, they'll probably keep him through until the start of the regular season and then try to trade him.
