Bell out for Steelers, will we see the Ravens?

The key word here, Smurf, is "winning"

If you had taken a poll on the eve of the 2007 Wildcard weekend, I suspect that confidence levels would have been higher then than they are now. That's why I find all the "best chance" commentary short sighted. If they win, it will look as if they had a great chance, if they lose, it'll be because of some critical flaw that clearly derailed their chances even when they outplay their opponent as they did in 2011.

You can't compare hindsight and foresight, you have to compare now to how things looked at this juncture in prior years. Hell, things looked even more promising heading into the 2010 playoffs.

Ossie, if you are expecting me to engage in a semantics driven, parsing of every word battle, on whether the phrase "great chance of winning" needs to actually include winning or not; you've come to the wrong place.

Funny thing is I first considered using 2007 as the date, but I anticipated the inevitable post that was sure to come complaining that "how could I use 2007 when we lost the game.". I knda knew before I hit the send button that I was in a no win situation.

I'm not worried about Green Bay when Green Bay's not at home, as long as the Patriots game plan doesn't once again call for the pass rushers to just stand there and stare at Rodgers.

If they do choose to run that same !@#$%**! D again vs Mr Rogers, may I suggest the Pats employ Fnord as a "consultant" to teach the defenders his sig stare?

I didn't realize I was getting into a semantics discussion, Ken, I just took your comment at face value.

It should also be noted that I offered a quote that wasn't in your comment, which was meant to illustrate that my response was meant to be more cumulative to all the "this is the best chance in a decade!" which I think relies too much on hindsight. Clearly I did a poor job at communicating.

I still think this will be a lot closer then people think. I know Balts secondary sucks.... but honesty...i want to face them in Div round

The Ravens dont have anyone who can stop Antonio Brown and the Ravens barely beat the Connor Shaw QB'd Browns.

In every case we'll have the sick perverted joyous amusement of seeing teams we don't like lose.

Exactly. Steelers win this one, with or without bell.

Simply put: the Ratbirds know that they can, and will, win here; and the Pats know it too.
If you are Pats fan and honestly believe that, I don't know what to tell you. Other than you're not a Pats fan.

well...NOW we get to answer all the questions...Bring 'Em On!!!

People who thought Pitt would blow them out either didn't know Bell would have been a huge loss for them...or were just kidding themselves.

I didn't want the Ravens, but I have to believe we are ready for them this year with a healthy Gronk!

…or you're delusional.

The clock has now started on the Pats' season.

God almighty, what a pompous, bloodless, boring gasbag you are.

And there's the irony buzzer going crazy... Try a mirror, sometime.
