Before you get too excited about the Saints

It's simply AMAZING how many fans come in here all ****y and rude and then have the nerve to call us arrogant.

It happens at the Indy forums as well. especially those pesky Pat... ooops <--- Just a joke.

I wanted to come on here and talk football but some of your fans (and all you have done is reinforce my opinion that you guys have the most arrogant fans in the world) including yourself don't want to talk football. You and your troll comment are totally classless.

You are entitled to your opinion, but I think we're a world class organization, look at our 3 Super Bowl wins this decade as compared to your 2 playoff appearances.

We'd be glad to talk football if you had some legit things to say, but your embarassing the rest of the Saints fans in the world.

You tell me to talk football and then type that. I am embarrassed for you and your family. If you would at other threads...............I never start with trash talk. I asked a question and was called a troll but I guess you can't read either.

They have 2 playoff wins, before he corrects that too.

There's no way that you will stop our offense.
Plus, we'll give you a defense you haven't seen yet.

We let Indy slide but your team needs to come back to earth and get man-crushed.

I posted this before and may help a bit

Not try to get flamed just providing some information,
Saints Defense is not that great at fundamentals or defending yards, Greg Williams has built them as a offense with Vilma and Sharper as his QB, basically the idea is to cause mistakes and get the ball back.
BB is well aware of this I'm sure

G.W's philosophy will cost a team its defensive ranking in the NFL because your going to give up yardage 50% of the time trying to make plays on the ball. But the Saints defensive ranking that are important to G.W. are these
http://www.wwltv.com/sports/football...-69613947.html

Interceptions. #1
passes defended. #1
opposing passer rating. #1
defensive touchdowns scored. #1
completion percentage by opposing passer. #1
third down percentage. #1
turnover differential. #4
passing yards surrendered per attempt. #4
red zone defense. #5

Patriots Defense is fundamentally sound and is almost perfect in the gaps, the secondary is above average, but they rank way above the saints D in the NFL. This should make it very hard for the saints to move the ball, even with the 3 headed dragon (bell, bush, thomas) and setup a play action fake, which is one staple of the N.O. offense.

Only 1 team with a winning record, but the majority of their games have been against teams with records around .500. They have played a bunch of average football teams. This a big test for the Saints, in probably the biggest of the season thus for for them.

how are the eagles 2-8? i think philly is a solid team but they are bit streaky. the giants are good too.

bottom line is they have beaten several teams with winning records. we have not so far.

Why do people resort to bringing up Buffalo in Week 1 when our quarterback was in his first game back in over a year after undergoing major reconstructive knee surgery to repair two damaged ligaments? That's always seemed like a copout to me. We're likely going to destroy Buffalo later on this season so that will hopefully become a moot point.

How is that shoulder by the way? Brees had the same surgery I believe.

It wouldn't be a game without, "Tom Brady - Probable (Shoulder)". I actually think we keep in on there for good luck nowadays.

The Saints are unbeaten and should be given credit for it. Not an easy thing to do against anyone. They're co-#1 with the Colts until they lose.

With that as a given, their schedule has not been the most butal in the NFL. Their 10 opponents so far have a combined record of 37-63 (.370). Not terrible impressive. Take away the 10 losses to the Saints and they are still 37-53 (.411) - still not terribly impressive.

The Bucs, Rams, and Lions just aren't very good teams. The Bills and Panthers aren't particularly impressive either. No real way around that.

But you still have to win the games, as Pittsburgh and Cincinnati failed to do. You still have to overcome injuries, mistakes, turnovers, and everyone gunning for you. Divisional rivals play you tough, no matter what their record. And the so far no one has been able to come out on the winning side. That's very impressive, no matter how you look at it.

I said last week that the Pats were better than the Colts if they brought their A game, but that the Colts were more consistent than the Pats. I stand by that. The Saints haven't been as consistent as the Colts, but they are more explosive on both sides of the ball, and more balanced. And they've shown tremendous resiliency to come from behind, which to my mind is the scariest thing about them. We, on the other hand, have twice given away games that were essentially in the bag, against Denver and Indy. We haven't come from behind against anyone other than the Bills week 1.

I'll still take the Pats over anyone when playing aggressively, physically, and with balance for 60 minutes. But so far this season we haven't played aggressively, physically, and with balance for a full 60 minutes in any single game, much less over a string of games, so it's kind of a hypothetical argument.

Maybe we can change that on Monday night. I certainly hope so. Till that happens, weak schedule or not, the Saints are better than we are.

I think the key to this game is going to be the right side of the O-Line. If we get Stephen Neal back for this game, and he's close to 100%, Brady is going to make it rain on that defense. I don't think they'll sack him. If Neal is not back and the blocking resembles the second half blocking from both the Colts and Jets games, it could be a long day out there and Brady may have to take an ice bath after the game. God, I hope Neal is healthy.

Well I know everyone in the league hopes he can get past it and is ok, he has allot of game in him, and we all want him around to see if he can surpass Terry Bradshaw.

To added to your post, which is well done , if I may, I dont think if either team wins by under 10pts it proves much at all. We still wont know who is better. Because N.O. or N.E. could do the same to the other team next time. Only a sound win on all sides of the ball will probably prove anything, and to tell you the truth, knowing the NFL, I might still think we or you just had one of those days.

These are two very good teams

I was hoping some Saints fans could come in here and talk some detailed football--and help us understand their team better since they rarely play us. Instead they come on here and start whining about extraneous garbage. The Ravens fans were the most knowledgeable I thought

I don't think either team will blow out the other, but I don't think a decisive win would mean much. Either team is quite capable of turning the tables in a rematch.

The Saints havent prooved much, they've beat quality teams, but they havent been dominant. The thing that sets them apart from the Pats is that they have won on the road. The Pats havent done that. I agree that right now the Saints for better then the Pats, but that could change Monday night with a Pats win.

If the Pats give up a second half lead and lose by ten, it will certainly reinforce the current trend of poor second half performances and signify that this team just can;t finish off teams. I suppose it would holp if the Pats could string together an 8-10 minute drive in the second half.
