Just caught this on Twitter. Could be nothing, but if it's true, what could the deal possibly be?

BB generally rips off Jerry Angelo in every opportunity he gets, so I see this as a good sign,

Now if it's for their 1st next year? I'm on board. That team should finish 5-11 6-10 now that Detroit isn't going to be 2 automatic wins anymore.

Clearly Greg Olsen

If BB trades a second rounder for Greg Olsen in a market where Santonio Holmes nets you a fifth round pick and you can have Haynesworth for a second...I'll be pretty pissed.

Clearly Greg Olsen

It's rumored that O'Brien wants to include the TE more in the offense. If this rumor appears to be true, Greg Olsen may just be coming to New England.

wonderful picture, my man. Love the burning cap!

on to the subject....

Usually when we hear about a move, its because its not happening.

I wouldn't give up a 2nd for Olsen, unless they throw in a few picks or a player who could help us defensively. But I don't think their defense has too many guys we'd want on the team, aside from Briggs or Urlacher.

I hope not. I think a 3rd or 4th would be more suitable for him considering Martz is dying to unload him.

Second for Olson would be tremendous. He is a former first round talent who by all appearances is on the verge of fulfilling his potential. And the Bears already ate his learning curve for us. How many years left on his contract? Three?

Disagree. There have been plenty of instances where we've heard about trades happening with the Pats before they've happened.

I agree...to some extent.

the last one that comes to mind was Burgess...but that was in the preseason.

Draft tends to be shadier, ya know?
when was the last draft trade we (fans) were all over? I think it was Moss or Welker, right...and maybe its me living on the west coast, but I didn't sniff either one of those moves.

Let me rephrase. He is a tremendous talent that I would love to have for a 4th rounder. 3rd at the most. He is a great pass catcher that doesn't block very well. I don't understand why you think he is worth a 2nd when he cannot block. Don't get enamored with fantasy production now.

Moss was the last one. It was on here as a rumor/potential trade days before it was made an official trade.

word,

I recall waking up, turning on my computer to see who they got, and laughing at the fact that they traded us Moss. I hear dthe rumors, but didnt think it would happen in a million years.

(They owed us a good wideout after that Doug Gabriel BS)

I'd love to see the trade 53 for olslenad a 1st or 2nd next year

I really liked Mark Anderson a few years ago when he was coming into the draft, how tall is he?

Now that I've seen the John Henderson thread, I woud only give up one of our 2nd rounders for him. For Olson, the most I would give up is our third.

How would it be tremendous when there were rumors a few weeks ago coming out of Chicago that they were only looking for a fourth or fifth round pick for him? Plus when you factor in that it only took a 5th to get Holmes and a 2nd to get McNabb, the 4th/5th round value seems more likely than a 2nd round value. Now if it was a pick (3rd/4th this year or 2nd/3rd next year) and Olsen for a 2nd rounder, then it wouldn't be so bad.

Anyway, if a trade does happen, then I'd love to see them get the Bears 3rd rounder (75), 5th rounder (141), and their 2nd from next year for 53. That would give the Pats a pick in every round this year, allow them to keep four picks in the "sweet spot" of this year's draft, and give them a fourth pick in the first two rounds next year.
