B.G.C. 2019 NFL Draft/Patriot-Type Players Thread

Daniel Jones looked like a walking scouting report. Looked like he kept his deep accuracy that was improved from last year. Past few weeks he's had 2-3 drops that would have lead to more points.

I say this a lot but it's important. Accuracy, Touch, Placement are all different traits but are the most important in terms of arm talent.

Jones displayed all all times. Leading his man w the ball so he doesn't take a big hit. Putting it in a spot the defender can't get at.

Base/Feet were great like usual. Maybe a bit of a wide base but it's amazing how it doesn't change when he's navigating the pocket. Again always keeps himself in position.

+toughness

Jones has to feel pressure better & faster. Every OL/QB combo has a way of communicating. He has to identify pressure & faster & use those feet to get outta the way, step up, slide.

Arm strength isn't great, no secret. Far hash/sideline takes a minute. It's apparent by DB's body language. Some throws will have manufactured.

Daniel Jones

Alabama @ Tennessee is approaching 59–0 levels of painful, and the first quarter isn't even over yet.

SAF help. Name to know.

Watching Penn state QB Trace McSorley (6'0 203 lbs and 4.55 40 time), I can't help wondering if the Pats could Edelman him and make him a WR......He has the moves in the open field and a competitive streak...

When I watch him in the open field I always get the feeling he's having so much on the move like that. Kinda like a lil kid doing something he knows he shouldn't but he's having a ball.

Interesting thought

Jenkins is a beast. Power/mauler w vg awareness imo.

Now that Twitter said it .... Just listen to Bacon when it comes to this draft sh/it.

Kentucky have their best defense ever. It's not talked about enough but their playing great.
Josh Allen has been great. Plays w that juice you want on the edge. Dropped into coverage over 130 times last 2 years & counting. Made some + plays in the run game. He has multiple stretches w + 3 down ability.

Derrick Baity is a long, tough corner w good ball skills. 6'1-6'2 w some length. Wants to be a playmaker & is at times. Blows up screens, likes to physical in the run game.

Mike Edwards is a versatile SS/Nickel who lead the team in INT/tackles last year. Something that hasn't been done in a long time there. Has like 17 TFL & counting in 4 years there.

Big, press corner w ball skills. Physical. Changed his outlook, practice habits in the offseason.

If Thompson falls to James territory count me in as someone who would trade up for him.

There's not many good SAF in the league & this kid is so legit.

Earl Thomas closing speed/range.

Route recognition. Physical. He's so good.

Fills a need. Borderline elite player. I just feel really really good about this prospect in terms of succeeding.

Ahem. Just thought I'd ask if you noticed who leads CFB in sacks right now.

Lol you won't quit him.

Few questions for ya.
You think he has the play speed/power combo for next level as a legit starter?

Testing?

If he falls (3-4) count me in for sure.

Definitely fits our traditional mold.

Have you checked out Oshane Ximines, Bryce Hall CB Virginia, Baity CB Kentucky?

I think last two CB could be fits?
Both big, physical guys.
