But if she told friends, sent them text messages, etc. calling him a rapist that is actionable. But if she clammed up until she filed the suit, you are totally right.Statements made in court - or in court filings - are considered privileged and, as such, not eligible to be made the basis of a defamation lawsuit.
So if she goes to the media and says AB kicks puppies, he can sue her for defamation. But if she makes the exact same statement under oath (or in a maneuver/communication related to a court filing), that statement is protected against a defamation lawsuit.
Was asking my gf this as she works in criminal intelligence.
Why in the flying **** do law enforcement groups, from local PD to FBI and CIA all use a polygraph in their screening process, when they've been thoroughly discounted and aren't even admissable in a court?
I just don't get it. There has to be something I'm missing.

I see your confusion. I was saying to take the accusation seriously by considering that the alleged victim is telling the truth and proceeding woth fact finding.
I am a woman so I can say this. I don't believe her. What took her so long to come forward?
And she wants money. If a man does these things to me, he needs to go to jail. And I am not going back 3 times.
Whoever disliked my opinion, I don't like you either and I will not be bullied into having the same opinion as everyone else. I just won't. Lots of internet bullies in the world. I have been through a lot and seen a lot in this life. I have learned not to believe everything people say.
Oh, I've read it all and here's why: my neighbor and friend's son was one of the players at the "party.". So, I've been told first-hand what happened. They're was no sexual assault, but what went on was far worse than " telling crude jokes " and it wasn't " nothing at all."The three players accused were declared innocent of any wrong doing. What are you even talking about? Sounds like you haven’t read much about that case.
I think Belichick would perhaps give this idea a half-chuckleShould AB suit up against Miami? I think from a PR perspective AB should be benched for a few weeks at least. Idk who's lying but either way, this ain't going to end well.
This is scarily bad thinking. By this logic, everyone who ever did anything the slightest bit unseemly, no matter whether it was perfectly legal, should be prosecuted and have their lives ruined, completely apart from whether they did what they were accused of.I'm not taking either side in this current case, but I wouldn't have used the Duke lacrosse case as my evidentiary example. While it's true the players weren't guilty of rape, their other behavior in that incident was despicable and disgusting, and I'm the furthest thing from a prude. Their actions were far more egregious than "nothing at all "
OH so you heard it from your neighbor though his son! Wow we should believe you over the well documented evidence of the case. Put down the bottle and go to sleep. You are making a fool of yourself.Oh, I've read it all and here's why: my neighbor and friend's son was one of the players at the "party.". So, I've been told first-hand what happened. ohhhhhhhhhhhh…. well if you can't believe an anonymous internet user's neighbor's son, who can you believe? LOL!!!!Oh, I've read it all and here's why: my neighbor and friend's son was one of the players at the "party.". So, I've been told first-hand what happened. Bringing political figures into a thread makes the statements political ... it's not that difficult.I’d be curious who else (if anyone) also got a warning.
If your posts were considered too political, surely many other poster’s posts would also be considered too political.
