Allowing, for the sake of using your percent claim as the example, for a 70% truth rate, that still leaves 30% of the claims as false. In other words, according to your guesstimate, just about 1 out of every 3 accused is being falsely accused of rape. Obviously 1/3 of claims being false would mean that accusers often have impure motives. Now, stop.

I am basically saying that victims/accusers should not be vilified in the media immediately. And that it is better to take the side of the victim at first even if it is the wrong side.

It's a little scary how many people are posting in this thread suggesting that it's not a big deal to ruin someone's life regardless of whether or not they're proven guilty.

• Our education system has been deliberately subverted.
• Our parent teaching has become almost non-existent in a lot of homes.
• Our media has taken to deliberately lying to push an agenda (and I'm not talking specifics or claiming only one side/group is guilty of this)
• Our citizens no longer bother educating themselves beyond the parroting of their teachers and the minimal assignments they are given.

Given the above, it's not really surprising that we, as a society, are losing our grip on what's true/false, right/wrong.
