No he doesn't. He may not make it but he has outlasted some higher priced talent.

The guy's been cut once already, no? The only thing we know now is that he (and/or his agent) is better at keeping his mouth shut when Reiss or Breer calls.

Agreed.

He'd be the perfect Practice Squad player though.

WR, played Safety the other day, Returner, Special Teamer.

He's an athlete.

A year or two on the Practice Squad and who knows what he'll be

Agreed.

One thing that was kind of amusing was that if you look at offseason pictures, Moss would almost invariably the first WR in drills. Then it would be Welker . . . and immediately behind Welker would be Edelman . . . and then immediately behind Edelman would be Farnham.

So how many cuts are left? Has Sergio brown survived?

By My count, the Pats have cut 14 players.. Woods being cut has not been confirmed.

With the 14 confirmed, they are at 61. They have a week 1 roster exemption in Ojinnaka. So they only need to cut/ IR 7 more.

Chris Taylor, Kyle Love, Sergio Brown, Buddy Farnham, BGJE, Sammy Morris, Pierre Woods, Dan Fletcher, Brandon Deaderick, Bussey, Wendell, Aiken, McKenizie, Price..

All potential names..

Re: More cuts: Jenkins, Eric Alexander, Clayton...

Woods being cut surprises me; he was the best OLB we had against the run. Hopefully we can read good news re: Cunningham into that. Alexander, Ohrnberger and Clayton don't shock me, but I wasn't quite expecting them either. Hopefully we can read good news re: Kaczur into the Ohrnberger cut. And I suppose the Alexander cut is great news for Sergio Brown.

I still think that if BB goes with 4 RB's ( to keep an extra player on defense possibly) he goes with youth over Morris.

Here it comes.

Derrick Burgess to be released today.

From Schefter.

According to Schefter - Burgess to be cut.

Re: More cuts: Jenkins, Eric Alexander, Clayton...

Sorry to hear Eric Alexander got cut. I still remember him getting torched by Peyton Manning back in 06 AFC title game how infuriating it was but....he is my neighbor and one of the nicest guy you will ever meet. Best of luck to him.

Cannot really feel we are missing anything without Burgess.

banta-cain and...

Murrell
Cunningham
Woods
Ninkovich

???

Schefter is reporting that Burgess is out.

With Woods being cut too, I gotta assume that one of em will be back after week 1.

Except that Woods wasn't cut according to the Pats Beat Writers..

EDIT: At 4:19 - Reiss and Rappaport report that Woods cut is official..

He took way too much abuse for that play. A lot of LBs got torched by Clark.
