All quiet on Hightower front or Dont'a-do-it FA tour

It takes two to make a deal Jonathan Kraft often says. It remains to be seen
if the Patriots will budge from their initial 10 million offer.

Maybe HT is hoping to find SOMEONE to bid higher than the Pats, even if marginally so, to save face.

Hightower need's to get over himself. It's not like he's getting a crappy contract from the pats. Teams have legit concerns about his longevity. Just manage your money well.

If its a diff on a million a year you make it work.
If its 3 million or more you find out what Brown can do for you.

It's reallt irritating. I think he's more valuable to this team than maybe other teams. All these other great to good linebackers aren't making ridiculous money. I am not counting miller and chandler jones who was clearly overpaid. Not everyone's stupid to overpay.

I wish we had looked at Levy on the cheap. Low risk and high reward. Just 29.

I'm afraid Brown will be long gone before this situation is resolved.

So now what will hightower do? Is he gonna want us to increase the offer just for the heck of it?

I don't think they have the money. Think what they gave brown and the tag on bell.
They have approx. 18m dollars and change, at least from what I can gather as of today. As always, they can also choose to free up more money through any number of options. They certainly have money to sign him, as do the Jets.

I think the fact he wants to come back to talk to BB is definitely a good thing. IMO if it's a difference of a couple million a year, BB will make it work.

Also, f*** the Jets.

Didn't know they had that much. Why didn't they go after a corner then? Makes more sense.

Hey, @long distance , your new appended thread title...

Your guess is as good as mine. Maybe they didn't think that anyone was worth the money? Maybe they have plans to take a couple in the draft?

The Steelers forum is grumpy about Hightower and those flag wavers don't like him because "he can't cover."

Lol, I'm sure those mouthbreathers will post about all those times Lawrence Timmons covered anyone anytime now.

Hearing Hightower has left Dunkin Donuts with no contract.
