Post your predictions here for Week 5, New England Patriots vs Detroit Lions

This contest is open to everyone, it's both a weekly and a season-long contest.
Stakes are bragging rights.

*********** PLEASE NOTE THE SLIGHT CHANGE FOR THIS SEASON *********

******** Above the reply box is now an area to make your score prediction: ************

Here's an example of what it looks like:

You just slide the red markers and select your score, and then post your reply with your prediction and any additional comments in this thread so we can keep it the same way it always has been, with the exception of having you pick your score. This allows either me or @alamo to update the results much faster, ie: I've been posting the results within a day or two after the game :)

Getting back to the rules, as a one-time allowance for computer problems, forgetfulness, or whatever, one week can be missed and will be assigned that week's average score.

SCORING:

Your score is the COMBINED deviation of your predicted score for the Pats and opponents REGARDLESS OF DIRECTION.
For example, if you predict Patriots 31 Texans 23 your score is how many points off of 31 the Pats are (over or under does not matter) PLUS how many points off of 23 the Texans are (over or under again does not matter). Game winner does not matter. Lowest score wins.

You may change your prediction at any time before kickoff, which the window will close at that time and your selection will stand. Please keep this thread to predictions only (after you make the pick), no back-and-forth discussion of the game. A short comment explaining your pick is OK and encouraged after you've made your selection.

Good Luck!

DET: 16
NE: 23

Not a big win, but a win nonetheless :)

Unfortunately I think this game showcases how much the team needs Mac right now. Would love to be wrong and Zappe surprises all of us.

Lions up 31-27, it's 3rd and 15 and a first down wins the game. Goff is under pressure from Wise, throws wildly toward the feet of the running back. The ball bounces off his foot and floats in front of Jamie Collins' face. He snags it and runs it back for a pick six and a $14 million contract from the Washington Commanders in April. Nick Folk misses the XP because he's drunk, but his FG streak is in tact, so it's all good.

Lions have a good offense, like best in the league, sad thing for them they have the worst defense in the league. Two headed monster rushing attack goes for 200+ yards, and a couple late TDs make it look closer then it was.

The scary thing about this game is the Lions might have the worst defense in the NFL with 141 points allowed but they also have the #1 scoring offense in the NFL with 140 points scored. Can we keep up in a scoring shootout? I just find that doubtful. We should beat them, but I don't think we will the way this offense has been struggling. Rookie Bailey Zappe getting the starting nod probably doesn't help either.
