That's one gigantic Freudian slip. He will always be chasing it and never attain it. Now he has plenty of time for chasing Twinkies and toes.

I am acquainted with someone who has close ties to many NFL coaches.
He says Rex and Rob Ryan are the greatest guys to hang out in a bar with. They are the center of attention, everyone has fun, and no one but them buys a beer.
The problem seems that Rex doesn't realize the cool guy in the bar isn't the persona that helps you succeed as an NFL HC.

Good analysis. I'll add more: Wrecks is the disturbed creation of an even more disturbed Svengali in Woody Johnson. Woody signed Wrecks not because he saw a team-building head coach, but because he saw a blustering carnival barker capable of fooling desperate fans into buying PSLs. Narcissistic Personality Disorder, persecution complex, codependency and blatant greed are the sick hallmarks of that wretched franchise from ownership down through the fan base. Sad, pathetic and frightening.

It's there if one looks for it, Tunes...I've been preaching this since the start...I sincerely hope and pray that Johnson continues to employ Ryan for the foreseeable future..it'll be great theater and,in the process, make it a three team division race instead of four

Anyone notice Dustin Keller's effort (or lack thereof) to tackle the Dolphin LB after Sanchez's pick deep in Dolphin territory??, check it out, it's a riot. Wait til Rex sees the film tomorrow. Dustin might not want to go back to clean out his locker.

I think many of the Jets would prefer a coaching change right now ... At OC and perhaps even higher. Holmes especially looked to be giving about as much of effort as Wrecks did following stomach bypass surgery.

Seems to me that the "Pepsi Max" delivery guy might be an upgrade right about now.

What is their cap status? I thought I read something that after the lockout ended, there was some cap relief for teams which of course helped the Jests.

McDaniels wouldn't want to work with Li'l Marky, and Wrecks is firmly on record as saying Marky is his quarterback. But, Schottenheimer hasn't been fired yet.

I read that they are $7-8 million under the cap this year and that new rules allow for some of that number to be carried over next year as a credit, if you will.

Doen't matter. They could outspend us by $50 million and still suck. Look at the decisions they make, Mark Sanchez is the highest paid QB this year? LMFAO. Holmes gets 5 years $50 with $28 million guaranteed! Too funny.

Now they will have plenty of time for more important things than playoff football...

like filming more of those putrid Pepsi Max commercials.
