Name 5 FA's that you would want the Patriots to sign going forward.

Mine are:

4. Either Ed Reed or Charles Woodson
5. Darius Heyward-Bey.

I think that the Patriots would be in good shape going into the draft with those additions and I think they could sign all those with the cap $ left.

From our own - Edelman(unless Washington or another elite returner is signed), Arrington, Woodhead(unless Washington again), Thomas. Also will throw in here that I hope Lloyd's supposed issues are worked out and he stays here. One of each:

1. Winfield/Asomugha, or one of the top CB's if they come at a bargain.
2. Pollard/Wilson or one of the top S's if they come at a bargain.
3. DHB/Jones/Laurent Robinson
4. Leon Washington
5. Another S/CB if they come cheap

I'm not looking for a big signing anywhere just some value signings with hopes that one or more pans out. We also have draft to fill needs.

Also just saw that DRC's deal is worth $5M. I think I'd retain Talib if he comes in that range, preferably a hometown discount at $4M per if he really does love it here.

#1 Vollmer - Keeping Brady upright has to be the number one priority 4/24 with some health language in there

#2 Nnamdi - Perfect veteran signing that can play press man coverage and keep McCourty at safety. 4/28 structured with a one year prove it first year then with an option bonus for the last 3 years paying most of the money

#3 Talib - 5/30 similar to the Nnamdi contract I will keep the one who performs better over the course of the year but for this year we will have a nice pair of corners

#4 Eldeman - 3/6 Great punt returner and DA is going to get hurt at some punt. I want someone who has at least been in the system backing him up.

#5 DHB - vet min with some incentives. Need somebody to be WR #4/5 to catch the one 60 yard bomb a game. I'd rather have him running that then slater.

I would rather have Pollard than Ed Reed, 2 reasons We need a SS much more than a FS.

Ideally I would like to have Sean Smith & Talib at outside CB, Dennard in the slot Pollard and McCourty at Safety. That secondary with the addition of 1 more pass rusher and the maturity of a VERY YOUNG D can win a SB.
