I think we're going to like Cooper Kupp ll... Efton Chism can't believe he went UnDrafted. Love our WR Room on Paper: IF Polk and Baker can't carve out a spot somebody else will.
It doesn't matter to me who the final 5-6 or 7 active WRs are because there is going to be a ton of competition and only best will survive and strengthen the room.

I wanted this kind of competition for all of the rooms and I feel like we have it now (with good players) not end of the line guys.

Chism & Polk might be IR'd to stash them. Baker may go to PS while being okay if he gets poached.
Week 1 will be: Diggs, Bourne, Pop, Boutte, Hollins, Williams

Amazing how dumb some people can be thinking these '24 rookie busts & '25 UDFA's will push out Bourne & Boutte.
Bourne is the only other trustworthy & productive vet - besides Diggs off a fresh ACL, and journeyman Hollins.
Boutte grew a ton last year in a disaster. JMD should set him loose and be a Gaffney/Hogan type role.

Bourne has been neither of those things since 2021.

Yeah so far fetched; after how well they were Coached. Is Mayo still the GOAT of Head Coaches??

...

Boutte traded, Bourne and Baker cut. Polk given another year because he's a 2nd rounder. What say you, patsfans? Any chance they carry 6 WR?

Teams should never hang unto a flop just because he was drafted high and I hope that Patriots cut their losses with this guy and move on. How long did N'Keal Harry hang on (he should have been cut in training camp)

Horrible Coaching was both their excuse last year: it won't be that this year.
we often read that the staff put too much on both of their plates, and they were not ready.
can McD simplify the scheme and have some lays in place that both can succeed with?

With Chism, Blankumsee and Webb the WR room might be vastly improved and we’ll see a roster crunch. They added a lot of juice here.
It's going to create Some awesome competition. I'll be looking forward to Williams going up again gonzo and Davis.. we probably may end up with just as good a WR room as Miami. Very promising.
Diggs better be fully healed and as good as he ever was by the start of camp. Otherwise he may not be the WR1 everybody’s anointing him to be before the pads go on. There’s a lot of hungry talent that may surprise all the old heads.

It's a good room with lots of young talent, that's all you can do when expensive diva free agent WR's don't want to come here. Load up on rookies, they will probably bring more UDFA's in as the offseason and preseason progress.

Maybe one of those young players will be the 2025 edition of Puka Nacua and Ladd McConkey…

They brought in three WR’s who are 5’10-5’11” tall, 190-195 lbs who all run low 4.4-high 4.3 forties… they went hunting for speed.

One rookie fits that Welker/Amendola mold… Efton Chism. He doesn’t possess top end speed, but possesses unique quickness in a league full of agile players.

Wes Welker
5-9 195
4.65 Forty
30.0" Vertical
113" Broad
4.01 Shuttle
7.09 Cone

Danny Amendola
5’10” 183
4.58 Forty
13 Bench
31.5” Vert
4.25 Shuttle
6.81 Cone

Efton Chism
5’11” 193
4.72 Forty
16 Bench
34.5” Vert
4.06 Shuttle
6.77 Cone

He’ll be a solid addition behind Demario assuming health and development. I see a roster crunch coming in preseason.

Worst case scenario he goes to PUP to start camp.. like KB did Last season. However Vrabel has mentioned he's on schedule and he will be limit but will be ready week 1. Your right and we need hungry guys. Digss is one of them. Right now Diggs is the most accomplished and respected, accoladed Guy in the WR room.

I am sorry but did you just call people dumb and then say Baker may get poached?

Hollins shouldn't have even been signed. Bourne's 9 lives are up. Should've never been brought back last year after calling the Pats organization dysfunctional under Bill publicly only to return.

The depth chart should be:

Diggs is the go to WR.
Polk or Baker opposite Diggs. These two need to get their act together.
Douglas in the slot.
Williams getting plenty of playing time
Boutte

Disagree completely. Hollins isn’t a world beater but he’s definitely better than you think he is. And neither Polk or Baker has done anything even remotely close to making them a starter across from Diggs. In fact both are fighting for a roster spot and cut end up being cut. The starters initially should be Diggs, Hollins, and Douglas in the slot, then Williams and Boutte.

I have seen references to Baker as a 1st round talent but undrafted work ethic and ability to understand scheme.
what do we have, 12 or 13 WR's on the roster at the moment? keep 6? 3 on the PS?

I do have to keep remembering that Hollins is the only 6'4 wr we have. So that alone plus his experience is vital. We just project to be a far better offense all around. Williams, Hollins outside, Boutte and Diggs handling the boundaries and sidelines, pop in the slot. Plus Henry at TE.. henerderson at RB.. geesh.. this will put alot of pressure on defenses.

With baker it is strictly maturity. He has the talent and work ethics it's some players take long to mature than others. Boutte went through his moments as well.

Good stuff Wozzy. I think someone like KB could become a numbers casualty and rather the team would trade him to a team at his liking as he his a fan favorite and team leader. Seing pop Douglas recently he appears to have added some muscle and bulk.. Josh likely told him get ready to see 80 to 100 targets this season.

Hollins was one of those character guy signings.. early in FA where diggs wasn't yet on the radar. He will provide some leadership and guidance for the younger guys and with his big frame I can see him used on red area/goal line formations.. he'll factor heavily in the run game. The chain movers and gotta have it guys are diggs, pop.. the big play capability guys are Williams, Boutte. IMO
