Thats the rub though, the Red Sox weren't comfortable with his playoff hitting metrics, and body type to throw the 375-400 it would have to overcome the other factors ergo his ask was to high for a reason.I believe the money would have made Mookie more comfortable. They lowballed him. The city loved him and he knew it.
The way they handled Lester was unforgivable.
I see two teams in baseball that it matters or should mean something to play for them. Yankees and Red Sox. If you are fortunate to play for either organization you should be forever grateful and realize the gift you have been given. Don't give me LA nobody out there cares about that team, they care about status.
