Vrabel also names Jared Wilson the starting LG.

Kinda bummed about Campbell.

With there no longer probable designation, I wonder what his questionable level is. Could be at 95%, could be at 30. Hard to say.

Edit: apparently data mentions a 70% average for questionable on the injury report. It’s become basically a cross between the old questionable and probable.

Gonzo likely out next week minimum as well. Pats could easily start 1-3 and be on track for another top 5 pick.

Will Campbell going his entire college career injury free, then having an injury days before week 1, is pretty on brand for us in recent years.
I think part of it has to do with college injury reporting rules vs NFL injury reporting rules. Campbell might have dealt with stuff in college that you just don’t know about because of less stringent reporting rules (at least as far as I know)

Considering the guy said he would “fight and die” to protect his QB, I have a hard time seeing him sit over an ankle.

So whats your thoughts on Brandon Carroll being the line coach for the Raiders. Does he move the needle with that line? After glancing through his career I dont think he does. Lots of years coaching in college but only a handful working with the line. His first short stint in the NFL was with his dad as an assistant line coach from 2015-2020 before going back to the NCAA. He reemerges this year in the NFL once again with his old man in the families new gig along with his brother Nate.
My thoughts are players play and coaches coach. You can have the best coaches in the world, but if you don't give them decent players to work with it won't matter. Some people just can't play at this level. Scar was the GOAT OL coach. But the underrated part of his game was identifying talent he could mold. It is widely accepted he had huge input on the OL players brought in. And this is one of the most underrated parts about him. Yes, players can be coached up, but you need to pick the right guys.... In fact, picking the right guys is 90% of the work. It isn't like there is a coach which has some secret to tell his guys that no one else knows.

So nope, doesn't move the needle for me. Only because they are running out the same 5 which were a bad unit last. So clearly whatever they tried to do didn't work cause the 3 guys new guys they brought in will be on the bench to start the game.

BUT!!!!!! The OL has not improved. .
So. you make this comparison and see NO improvement.
Campbell for an injured Lowe
Wilson for ??? (I forget)
Bradbury/Brown for Brown
Onwenu with better folks next to him
Moses for Jacobs
Bryant for Thomas swing OT

Campell vs Lowe
Wilson vs Layden Robinson
Bradbury vs Brown
Onwenu
Moses vs Demontrey Jacobs

Not an all-world OL by any means but definitely a big improvement vs what was probably the worst OL in the league.

He was talking about the Raiders O-Line.

Hope ur life is lived in a more positive fashion, but going on ur history, I doubt that. GO Glass half full rather than empty, if u are young, this is the best advice you will ever receive.

News about Campbell is maddening. But, I'm guessing he'll still play and be fine.
Gonzo issue is stupid too - but, people make it out to be like we might lose because he's out.

When we go from Gonzo & J. Jones last year to Davis & Austin in week 1, the total falloff is not much.
Remember the DL and front 7 is far better than last year. We'll be okay on D.

I too have said a number of things trying to make a good first impression that I knew were total lies.

It’s how I got through to a second date with the missus

Is TB12 gonna be in Foxboro?

Im saving that pic. hilarious.

Wonder what's up with the raiders WR room? Meyers wants out, Cooper retires, Thornton is getting fantasy hype cause there's no one else really. Too bad gonzo is out cause that would have made whoever covers Bowers life easier.

Don't like how the starters barely play in the preseason, especially the offense. It's like in baseball where the hitters have an advantage at the beginning of each season cause pitchers haven't seen them yet.

Hopefully barmore and Williams can take away the jeanty factor. I don't really watch cfb but hes getting hyped like Bijan was a few seasons ago

I'm guessing you're not confident in Carlton Davis then? They signed him to big bucks in the event something like this happened. I still don't understand the contract and I'm sure Davis was shocked as well given he was booted from his 2nd team now.

Pittsburgh is concerning IMO.

1 - 3 heading into SNF vs Buffalo would suck.

I'll be optimistic when the on-field product gives me a reason to be. Last several years have been brutal to watch.
Drink the Kool-Aid and your concerns will be over.
