@jmt57 -

A few things:

- The Defense is a 4-3 Under. Not a 3-4.
- Jaquelin Roy is 6'3 and 305. That's not a NT.
- Jabrill Peppers and Marcus Epps are Strong Safeties. Not Free Safeties.
- Jaylinn Hawkins is a Free Safety.
- Birdow is an OT, not a Guard.
You are correct, thanks for pointing that out.

I used Ourlads depth chart as a starting point and added UDFAs; was just attempting to quickly put something together in order to help me visualize where the team was at right now.

I wonder whether Anfernee Jennings will stay on the roster. He's the best run defender of the edge guys, but I'm not sure that fits Vrabel's attacking defense.

I would think that he would have less of a role than in the past.

Isn't Tavai in a similar situation?

I don't think that the team wants to bring in a couple of replacements for them.

The WR battle is gonna be fascinating to watch.
* Diggs, Williams and Douglas appear to be locks.
* Hollins is close because he is a McDaniels guy and appears as a solid vet presence. Had his best year under McDaniels.
* Bourne also had the best year of his career under McDaniels, but has been injured, has a good contract to eliminate, and seems redundant with Hollins.
* Boutte is young and seemed to have a connection with May. Trade rumors and a holdover from previous staff.
* Polk very underwhelming rookie season as a 2nd round pick. No connection to new staff. Would they cut a 2nd rounder after one year.
* Baker is behind the 8ball here. Needs to have a very productive camp to stick around.
* Chism is a guy I can see sticking around. He provides a skillset that outside of Douglas we don’t have. Seems like a guy that McDaniels will fall in love with

Gonna be extremely interesting to see how this plays out.

My first shot with Pats Picker 2025. I might suggest adding Larison to the RB possibilities. Some people seem high on him. I wouldn't change my list. I still have 7 open slots.

Cutting peppers? Scary looking safety room.

Josh wants a FB. He'll already have the passing back in Henderson.
We shall see. You may be right. I woukd not be surprised if Larrison makes it over Gibson. He can also play ST.
We do not yet know whether Josh has changed his offensive philosophy

Don't get me wrong. I like Larison. To your point, it remains to be seen if Lampe can even make the jump to the NFL and knowing what he needs to do. FB is a hard position in this offense. Hell it took Develin a couple of years on the PS to establish himself. Same for Jakob.

Josh loves what the FB brings schematically on gamedays and might place more value on it than Henderson's backup.

I think that we are talking past each other.

Larison should make the team as a RB.

The OPEN question is whether we carry a FB.
==========
My gut feel is that Stevenson or Gibson will not be on the 53.

How about both making it?
To @mgteich 's point that might happen if they chose to move on from Rham or Gibson.

I like Gibson. Hes had some years in which hes hit 1000yds and had 40+ catches. I don't think hes a bellcow but i'm not sure Rham is either nor do I think we need one. I also think hes a better receiver than Rham.

I wonder whether Anfernee Jennings will stay on the roster. He's the best run defender of the edge guys, but I'm not sure that fits Vrabel's attacking defense.

Jennings and Tavai don't seem to fit with Vrabel's style, but we'll see. Jennings was a "hand in the dirt" guy coming out of college. He transitioned to playing in a 2 point stance for BB's defense. He could, potentially, go back to being a hand in the dirt guy.

Henderson is an all-purpose back. Not just a "passing back". Not sure why people think this.
Agree but he is option #1 as the "passing" back
