2025 NFL Draft Order Tracker (Tracking the Patriots Draft Position)

I was just looking at the draft order and I counted 17 teams below .500. That is pathetic. They have 8 teams that have 3 or fewer wins. Is this what they meant by parity ? This is actually below mediocrity !! How did the league become so watered down ? How are so many teams so bad ?? This is not the league of even a decade ago, it's sad . So much bad football being played every Sunday .

When we getting a draft thread for '25? Never too early to start one with this team imo.

Not sure if I am answering your question but if you go to PatsFans.com , Patriots Fan Forum , Patriots Draft Talk there is some threads about next years draft etc ? Hope that helps

This is what the NFL wants they want most of the teams 9-8 or 8-9

There are 32 teams in the league, yes?
15 above .500.
17 below .500.
That’s not really a statistical outlier.
Many weeks half the teams lose…

It’s possible there were always losing teams in the league. We may not have noticed them.
I’m pretty sure the overall league winning percentage is consistent with a decade ago.

Raiders and Giants are now in a dead heat tie for the #1 pick, at 2-10.
Jacksonville at Vegas in Week 16 is looming as a big game for draft order.

Giants best chance for a win comes next week, home versus the Saints.
After that the Gints play the Ravens, at Falcons, vs Colts and at Eagles.

Remaining games for the Raiders are at Tampa, vs Atlanta, vs Jax, at Saints and vs Chargers.

Jacksonville has a few potential wins.
The Jaguars are home vs Houston, at Tenn, vs Jets, at Raiders, vs Titans and at Indy.

Just a quick side note: I finally cracked the formula for this earlier this morning, and it's been added to the site. Given where the team is at, it should be interesting to follow where they'll potentially be picking throughout the remainder of the year, and it should update after I update each group of games:

The link for this is also located in the "NFL" drop-down, as well as in the slideout menu.
We're currently projected at #4 overall.

We should land an absolute stud at that draft position unless a monumental brainfart happens.

Some early mocks have us taking the 6'5 WR out of Arizona, Tetairoa McMillan.

I think most likely scenarios based on other teams schedules:
3 Wins we are 1-3 pick, I think 3, 2, 1 in likelihood order
4 wins 4-7 pick area - 6, 5, 7, 4 in likelihood order

Only way on our schedule I see they get 5 wins is to beat the Colts and have Bills clinch 1st round bye before the last game. If they beat the Lions that might happen; Chiefs might have 2 losses coming up, tough schedule for them.

I am beginning to get generational vibes from Travis Hunter, I already had him as the 1 can't miss prospect in the draft but he's really, really special but don't want to go all in on watching his tape until I think we can get him.

I want to see Maye have a light-it-up game against the Colts, but also lose to have a shot at Hunter; seems like a tough proposition if he lights it up, to lose with Anthony Richardson as the other QB....

Raiders and Giants get #1 and #2. I think they both are taking QB's, thus #3 spot gets the best player in the draft in that scenario.

If Raiders and Giants are #1 and #2, they may want to do what we discussed for the Pats last year and trade down for extra picks and still get a good QB prospect.

Are they going to pick at 1 & 2 if the QBs aren’t special when another team may want to trade up for Hunter?

Maybe but If there are only 2 good QB prospects and right now it looks like Ward and Sanders is it, then do they risk trading down and missing out? Especially when the returns will be minimal?
Also, Maye was a generational talent to me, but NFL teams, on average, had Caleb Williams somehow above him and had him as generational so my view of Hunter might not be the same as NFL scouts.
It would all depend on the final prospect rankings and how highly Sanders and Ward end up being ranked.

If that did happen, I would try to trade down within the top 10 because not sure there is a big difference between the next 4 offensive lineman, T-Mac and Burden. Once they get the draft position set and I delve into the possible prospects maybe that changes and someone becomes the obvious next choice.
Might only pick up a 3rd or 4th but if the next 7 prospects are pretty equal would probably do it.
I think Hunter is a cut above the others as a prospect, a can't miss type that will be good no matter what and just a question of whether that turns into great or not.

Sanders and Ward will be considered special by the time the draft is here. Depending upon how the playoffs go, another (Ewers, Milroe) could join them.

The Colts game is also winnable for the Giants (any given week Richardson can go off and dominate but he also has the potential to throw 4 picks and look like a QB who doesn’t belong in the NFL).

The Eagles may already be locked into their playoff position by week 17 and could sit many of their starters.

Dew Allar might be the best QB in the draft. I would wager he might be the only good QB to come out of this draft.
Will be interesting to see where the QB's fall.

The sanders kid no good?

Week 14 is the last week of the by's... The win percentages will all even out after the coming week... With only the final 4 game stretch to go, the sos will round itself out and we will get a real read on our standing going into the 2025 draft...

The biggest question will be stand pat or trade down, if there are any good packages available

excited for the patriots to have a chance to draft the #1 WR on the board, but instead they will trade down and draft Jag Jaggerson of the tempe community collages Jags but also pick up a 4th and 5th round pick in 2026.

Funniest ****ing post.

I've only watched a few games but not overly impressed with the arm strength, ability to avoid sacks and his time to throw. The lack of arm strength is most concerning.
I have not watched enough film to make a 100% definitive opinion but based on what I have seen I see upside as a Caleb Williams-lite with the same or worse leadership questions.
Overall, on first impression, I don't see any future top 5 NFL QB's in this next draft.
