For an HC position? He would definitely leave. Let him hire Daboll as an OC.So if Daboll gets fired, I think that we should pursue him if Mayo is let go. Thoughts on Daboll as a HC target here?
My #1 choice is Flo, but I am not sure He leaves the Vikings.
Yes, we need one of those too.Defensive coordinator?
The QB had plenty of time to throw today with the backup to the backup at tackle.ok, ill go with the OT, the wr is a shiny object if the qb doesn't have to to throw to him
Agree that RK will not admit a mistake after 1 year. I would like to say that Mayo will get better but I think he is going to lose the players. Once he loses the players he won't get them back.I know that a lot of Pats fans are clamoring for the next coach to be offensive-minded and in principle, I would be fine with that, but I'm not interested in taking a chance on another first time head coach who is learning on the fly. I want someone who has proven that he can run a successful program in the NFL. Vrabel always seemed to get the most out of the talent in Tenn and Allen's career took off under Daboll. The established offensive head coaches aren’t going anywhere.
It doesn’t matter anyway because the Krafts won’t be willing to admit their mistake with Mayo and they are also too cheap to pay Mayo and his staff to not coach for them and also pay what it would take to convince a top HC/OC combo to come to Foxboro.
Then this team will lose two years of Drake Maye then! This team is going nowhere with Mayo at the helm! Mayo is like the Zack Wilson of HCThis HC and GM are getting 2 years
After all the praise Kraft heaped on Mayo as the next guy?Sure but it's a dumpster fire right now. I don't think he saw that coming. Lose to Jax in London in the manner they did? That isn't what he expected. Plus all the other BS, like Barmore etc and it all gets to be too much.
I don't know if you can just assume they would leave for a HC chance. Was it Johnson and Slowik that declined HC interviews last year? For an HC position? He would definitely leave. Let him hire Daboll as an OC.
My theory of the situation:Kraft isn't selling. Frankly, the league has revenue sharing, so there is a floor to how far an owner can fall. It takes years of losing for major metrics to go down. It takes one good season to get everyone back. There's no danger there.
Trying to understand this paragraph, are you saying your thought is Mayo will be fired prior to Wolf? Or your thought is Wolf would be fired prior to Mayo? After all the praise Kraft heaped on Mayo as the next guy?
No way. Wolf and Groh will get the axe before Mayo. That's the beauty of the HC separate from personnel and cap decisions.
Kraft doesn't have anything to do with Kraft foods or so I thought. My theory of the situation:
For Kraft, the most important consideration is his pride. Will he will keep the Kraft brand as the face of a perennially losing franchise, after attaining such heights with Belichick and Brady? With every losing year that passes, the notion that Kraft might have not been so important to the dynasty after all seems more and more plausible. He and Jonathan may flail around for a few years longer, who knows? Maybe another lost year with Mayo with be enough. Maybe Bob passes the torch (one way or the other) and Jonathan is free to clean house.
Kraft's name is on some of the most popular products in America. He doesn't want that brand associated with a joke franchise, especially when he's responsible for the dysfunction. If it doesn't get it turned around and headed in the right direction soon, the Krafts sell.
See here is the thing. When I read your posts I would hope you gave a bad opinion of be, because that must mean I am right.Says the second biggest clown here after Wozzy. ELL! OH! ELL!
He had a lot of pressure but did well moving away from it and buying time but he didn’t have many instances where he had all the time he needed. The QB had plenty of time to throw today with the backup to the backup at tackle.
I do agree we need a LT but at this point, we need a top WR even more.
Our D is built for a BB guy. But I like the idea of getting a HC who is an innovative offensive guy.He did a decent job and his highlight was stifling the red hot 2019 Ravens who looked like they couldn't be stopped. That was a great game plan. Brian Flores also had a great game plan making Jackson look like a back up QB a few years ago.
When Mayo is canned, Bob really has to clean house and leave no ties to BB even though Vrabel didn't coach under him. They need a hard reset.
