Please show me a team that can lose 5 of it's 7 top CBs 4 weeks into the season and still put up a good defense.

I'm not sure many people are complaining about the defense being a problem. The injuries obviously are but the defense was pretty good today even without considering how many players they have lost.

It depends on just how bad the judon/Gonzalez injuries are and how soon jon and jack jones get back . But Were not bad enough to get a top 5 pick. Today was awful but chances are they will find a way to win around 8 games just like last year and end up with a middle 1st rounder. Might as well cheer for the team to do well.

Zappe isn’t playing. Belichick already said Mac is the starter next week.

He kind of muttered it but he was purposely trying to avoid that question. He wasn't doing that this preseason.

We have been “rebuilding” for the last 3 seasons. Judon was a part of what was supposed to be a rebuild.

I agree. « was ». This has to be torn down, I think. Not enough players on this roster can be counted upon for game changing plays.

Now, NE is so far away from the AFCCG that I can’t imagine going forward with this foundation.

I am most concerned with Gonzalez. That’s a guy I’d expect would be around if / when NE turns it around. Judon hurts less IMO as he is 30+ and won’t be around if a rebuild is on the horizon. Let’s see K White.

I mentioned when the switch was made on defense against the jets it set the tone. Keon white, Sam Roberts, will certainly be heavily involved now.. I'm sure some other building #19 D lineman or LB. will be signed during the week. Gonzo injury situation doesn't appear to be serious. Post game live was reporting he was likely kept out the game for observation and precautions.

Now you are just wishing. He said he didn‘t pull Mac for performance. He would have said nothing if he was considering benching next week. The fact he said anything means he isn’t moving on from Mac. At least not after this game.

He played ok the first three weeks. A B- type of performance. Today was his only bad game of the season, but it could have been the worst play by a Patriots’ QB since I can’t remember when. Worse than that KC game for Brady where the rest of the country was trampling on Brady’s supposed grave.

The team is 1-3. The QB is the most important position on the team. Our powerhouse offense scored 17 PPG in those three games you mentioned. That’s not “ok.” That’s bad.

That would be reassuring. The young players NE wants to move forward switch should get more and more snaps. Gonzalez was already CB1 so I want to see him get more experience.

1-3 isn't the worst thing in the world but I expected a better showing.

They just don't have the firepower to compete with the better offenses and Mac is an average QB.

Douglas should be starting over juju.. Parker is a non factor. Bourne is the only WR who can actually get open and make plays more often then the other's.. IMO somehow someway trade for Claypool.. he's wasting away in Chicago.

They’re not going to tear it down. They’re going to be just mediocre enough to not be a threat for the postseason, but not bad enough to get a high pick in every round.

Only problem is BB would trade down for 3 seconds, a fourth, and a position swap from 7 to 6.

He would keep Mac Jones and use the second-round pick on a Guard from a D3 school
