I am most concerned with Gonzalez. That’s a guy I’d expect would be around if / when NE turns it around. Judon hurts less IMO as he is 30+ and won’t be around if a rebuild is on the horizon. Let’s see K White.

We have been “rebuilding” for the last 3 seasons. Judon was a part of what was supposed to be a rebuild.

I said with better talent surrounding Mac, they could have been 3-0 heading into today. That isn’t defending him. That is stating the obvious. The Pats could have won the first two games with a better o-line and better receivers.

But let’s not take this game and project how god awful Mac was today on how he played the first three weeks. Most of the experts in this town that I have heard have given him basically a B- grade for his first three weeks. I would agree with that. Passing grade, but not anything that is going to get you a spot on Mom’s refrigerator.

Today, he deserved an F- or worse.

If they can get Gonzo, Judon, Jon and Marcus Jones back eventually... they might be able to hold on for a little while. Prepare to see more Jennings and Keion White... they have some depth, but they need to get healthy.

It also depends on Zappe playing well. You can get by with slightly above average or good at QB, nobody can win with bad.

Please show me a team that can lose 5 of it's 7 top CBs 4 weeks into the season and still put up a good defense.

It's amazing how short people's memories are.
I can remember Brady having 4 interception games during his career with the Defense bailing him out to make the games not quite as bad of a Loss.

The difference…and it is major…..is those games were wrapped around multiple, awesome wins.

It was calling out an asinine statement more than defending the QB. Jones had a s**t day. I already said it once. There were plenty of games where Brady played like S**T and the team lost as well.

He played ok the first three weeks. A B- type of performance. Today was his only bad game of the season, but it could have been the worst play by a Patriots’ QB since I can’t remember when. Worse than that KC game for Brady where the rest of the country was trampling on Brady’s supposed grave.
