I know people are complaining about the offense, but one other thing worth noting is they've started quite a few drives off with miserable field position. Certainly not helping things, especially given the weather and Stevenson's injury.
Tom E Curran says that Zappe is interviewing for his job as backup. I agree with this. I think it is at present neither proven nor disproven that he can be an NFL backup. I myself see little prospect of his ever being a starter.

I don't know if they have to be elite, having a great o line give the wide outs and qb more time. I do think we need at least one top flight wide out the the other team has to worry about.
