You're talking about a team that paid Jimmy a ton of money for really two years for no reason, and it was by accident that he was there at the end for them last year, just like it was just by injury that he played this year. Logic and reason seems to go out the window with that group, again, at least based on history. They seem to think they have leverage where they just don't and somehow seem to believe they're smarter than everyone else.

wow you are salty against the Niners. Are you upset they didn't sign Brady?

Trey Lance cost 3 first round picks and might not pass for 1000 yards with the team who drafted him before he's traded.

How are you going to handle Mahomes possibly losing a second Super Bowl, this time to Mr Irrelevant?

Careful how you speak about our resident Niner fan's team!

My Dingleberry bets looked good for a half...

Lance is going to be tempting for someone.
Maybe Miami?

No, I'm salty at how they handled that situation. I think Belichick wanted Jimmy, they got greedy, and then BB said, then "forget it" and drafted Jones.

Yeah, all of that's fair. Just because it's the stupid thing to do doesn't mean they won't do it. They've definitely made a lot of very suspect decisions but hey, obviously it's worked out so far - quite a team we're watching here.

3 first rounders and a third rounder, actually.

Lmao I would laugh. I'd prefer if the Chiefs don't make it there at all though. They have 2010 Pats/2011 Packers energy of 1 seed with MVP losing in the divisional

It’s amazing how well Purdy is playing. I remember seeing him in college early on in his career, and he looked really good. Seemed to have disappeared, his sophomore year being his best season.

But what he is doing now is astounding. Granted, he’s got great weapons, but he just plays a really smart game and utilizes those weapons like a seasoned pro. It would be interesting to see if he could handle the bright lights of the Super Bowl. But man, with the weapons they have on offense, and the very good defense they have, I feel their only weakness is their secondary. But they seem to be the only team who might be able to stop the Eagles in the NFC.

I don’t think any NFC team can beat the Chiefs or Bills in the SB though.

Oh so he’s even more of a failure then.

You do realize if Purdy wins the SB it’ll be more impresssive than Brady winning it in 2001, don’t you? No rookie QB has ever won the SB

I think him getting greedy with Bill was a massive miscalculation. I think he was probably the one coach who really wanted Garoppolo enough to do a deal, so it's not like the demand was there to warrant the decision not to be reasonable. I think he was hoping to get back at least one first round pick to offset the damage, and it backfired spectacularly. Now, instead, they've had two years where it's cost them a ridiculous amount of money to keep him, and he's about to walk this offseason, and they'll get nothing in return. And to top it all off, it looks like Lance might be done there. Crazy.
