if Mahomes loses this weekend or the Super Bowl you know damn well it will be “they only beat him because he was injured”

we still hear from his fanboys about the toe being the only reason he lost the SB

Same excuse Pats fans were making in 42 and 46 with the Brady and Gronk high ankle sprains. How would this be any different?

Yeah, but instead he's practicing and you guys are milking it for him. The dude missed two games with a dislocated kneecap and no games otherwise. Including turf toe that required surgery after the season. I have never, nor has anyone else here, ever seen him act injured. And now we are comparing him to Ben?
The Ben comparison is a little out there for sure but I think what folks are saying is that he's like a mini-Ben. He's smaller in stature and doesn't show injuries nearly as much.

If he's practicing and showing no signs of an injury then it probably isn't a high ankle sprain. That may also be contributing to the reaction of some fans here.

And as the case with all of the media's favorites, the way they fawn over Mahomes may be at play.

Quite the dilemma for Porky the Pig. On one hand, he says Montana is better than Brady because of the 11/0 TD/INT ratio and 127 passer rating in Super Bowls. On the other hand, he also says Mahomes is better with a 2/4 TD/INT ratio and a passer rating below 70 in Super Bowls.

Let the guy finish out his career lol
He could lose this weekend and be 2-3 in AFCCG that won't be a good look.
Luckily for him he has 10 years plus to keep adding to it.
Serious question: has Montana, Manning, Brees, Rodgers, etc ever had a meltdown like Mahomes did in last years AFC Championship? I know Brady hasn’t. I’m not talking about one crucial mistake. I’m talking about where it looks like they forgot how to play the sport and worse than a D2 quarterback. It all started at the end of the half when he threw the ball to Hill behind the line of scrimmage with zero timeouts at the goal line. Even on the field goal drive he took two sacks in the red zone that a high schooler wouldn’t take.

No
But to be fair Mahomes has had multiple 10 points plus comeback wins in the playoffs.
He's clutch, but had a meltdown last year.
I'd take him in a heartbeat if he were available. My problem is he's being crowned waaaaaaay too early.

i was talking only about Mahomes’ talent level, not his accomplishments, which are still being written.

Gonna say upfront. If Mahomes does make the Super Bowl and DOESN'T win it, and drops to 1-2 in Super Bowls, then all talk of any dynasty or him ever being a Top 3 QB should be dead forever. There's no coming back from that career legacy wise sorry. His ceiling becomes John Elway, congrats.

You need to chill and just let his career play out. Timmy was 3-2 after 42 and 46.

I jumped on KC when they were dogs yesterday, but I teased it with SF..
Gut feeling says that it's close either way

Kelce versus Kelce and Reid versus his former team is way too juicy for the NYFL to not help it happen. Look for some home cooking in Philly by the intimidated by the home crowd refs if Purdy dares to keep it close. We all know how the 2nd half of Chiefs games go when they are losing.
