Wow, pretty much the same team minus ab who could very well be back. Theyll be tough to knock off

Especially since I'm not seeing many teams in the NFC that got significantly better this offseason (at least enough to get them into contention). The Bucs biggest obstacle last year (Saints) is taking some big steps back it seems. Green Bay still has a chance, but they'll need to prove that. Maybe the Rams have the defense to keep the Bucs in check, and Stafford should be better than Goff. But overall, that's a pretty barren landscape on paper.

they got lucky with injuries last year...

And they were one of the least affected by Covid (in games lost at least). BUT, they also took some time to gel early in the season, and with everyone back that shouldn't be an issue, so those things could wash. They enter as the favorites in the NFC by a large margin IMO.

Howard out most of the year (achilles).
Vea out most of the year (broken leg)
Evans hobbled most of the year (ankle sprain)
Godwin broken finger that required surgery
White Wuhan Flu
Whitehead shoulder injury
Jones broken finger + Wuhan flu
Marpet concussion
Shipley IR'd about half the year
AB missed games with knee injury
Kappa broken arm

So plenty of injuries to important players. But you go, boy!

oh i agree they are the favorites. i think GB and the Rams have a shot in beating them though.

The dominoes are starting to fall. You don’t trade that much draft capital to not take a quarterback there. Perhaps Jimmy will be available soon. All eyes on Atlanta now.

Also hate seeing the Dolphins benefit by getting a bunch more big draft picks. That was a huge return for them.

Fields to San Fran

Jimmy G to New New England

Dolphins made out like bandits there

to drive up value. ?
Possibly that, but also to keep things covered while parts are still moving around. A QB injury here, or a Jets trade out there, and that situation can still change quite a bit.

I have to imagine San Fran has the same thought process that New England would have if they draft a rookie QB: You want the vet there for the first season so you don't have to throw the kid to the wolves. Now, this could make Jimmy available next offseason...
