He went to a team with major cap issues, with little draft capital because of moves made before his arrival, and with a QB who both wanted to get out and is facing potential legal/NFL problems. Getting Mills in the 3rd round was certainly adequate value, and was, because of Watson's shenanigans, a need pick made at a reasonable time. Caserio is churning the hell out of that roster, likely expecting the team to be crap as he tries to change what had obviously become loser culture, and was never going to be able to get that done in a single offseason. Given that all the **** hit the fan having nothing to do with him, he should get through year 3 as a long honeymoon before people start looking to bash his tenure.

Meanwhile, it's long been known that Belichick makes the calls in New England, so trying to push that off on anyone else, including Caserio, isn't going to hold water.

There's no doubt that it's Bill's finger on the button at all times, but it was Little Nicky Caesar who provided the information & recommendations (besides Billy's coaching buddies that is)...Remember, it was just he & Bill working that terrible 2020 draft...

Sorry, but it's either one or the other*. It can't be both. BB makes the final call. That's been the case throughout BB's tenure.

*And it's Belichick. Caserio will get his shot in Houston.

how would captain stone the GM have gone about that? I’m curious.

Since you asked...

Step 1: I would Not have made ANY of those trade-ups during the 2020 draft;

Step 2: If I am double-dipping for TE at the end of the 3rd round, then the clear-as-crystal, no-feckin-brainer choices should have been Adam Trautman & Harrison Bryant;

Step 3: I would have drafted George Kittle at 137 during the 2017 draft.

He was here before, wasn't he? In the Ridley/Vereen days?

WOW. He was a huge "binky" of mine when he came out. Great guy, smart, hardworking. Got unlucky with injuries. I think its safe to compare him to Harris type if healthy, and a soild backup. I'm excited for training camp.

Is this, like, a ****ing joke or something?

Now I know that Billy does stupid ****ing sh!t like this ****ing bizarre ****ing signing from the ****ing graveyard just to snub his ****ing nose at us...

I mean, Tyler ****ing Gaffney?!? Are you ****ing SH!TTING me?!? Where the **** did that come from?!? The dude couldn't stay ****ing healthy when he was an ACTUAL PROFESSIONAL FOOTBALL PLAYER!

Maybe I'm just having one of those nightmares like I used to have before PO games back in the good old days...Nighty-night...

Cursing about the 91st player on the roster. What's wrong with a camp body that knows a little about what goes on around here and isn't starting from complete scratch.

Captain Stone is probably unhappy and obviously mentally unstable.
