Probably a 6th/7th-rounder in our defense...

If Goodell is going to hold the draft remotely and uses Zoom, which has security issues, it opens up the possibility of some hacker messing things up. I'd love it if some MIT or Harvard type was able to move the Pats up the draft board.

Or a team is going to draft someone from Pornhub University. Although I think they fixed much of their issues.

This raises an interesting question: are there any circumstances in which Belichick is willing to use future round picks to trade up in a current draft?

Of the 100+ trades he's made, he's literally never done it. He'll gladly trade away current picks for future ones, and to trade future picks for players from the Island of Misfit Toys, but he's never even thrown in a future 7 in a draft-day trade.

Good point. Although the case can probably be made that's bc he hasn't had to?
Point stands though. It would be a first.

If the value is there, he would. He has job security and a long term plan. Many gms need to win now, so value a pick they can use in the current draft more than one a year or two down the line, making that type of trade usually not worth it for him.

Understand that. Just passing it along. Haven't been looking extensively at the draft forum and hadn't heard about their interest in Morgan.

I think alot of members are against him but if we like him with a late round flier I don't see a issue.
My late round binkie personally is Cole Mcdonald

Watching Morgan’s tape, the player who stands out to me is tony gaiter IV. Could be a nice addition to the UDFA class as a KR/slot wr. Fun fact, we drafted his daddy back in the late 90s.

As for Morgan, he’s got a petty good arm but to me looks like a day 3 guy. Throws off his back foot a lot relying on his arm, those deep underthrows for completions become picks in the NFL.

I noticed that Bacon listed him as third round value on his rankings, same grade as Hurts. I personally don't know much about him. BGC, care to comment about what you see in him?

I don't want to give you a "disagree" click but no way BB takes him in the 3rd. I'll take that bet. Nothing else to bet on right now :)
I DO like this kid though. Outside the 1st round QB's (not a big Fromm fan in the 3rd), it's him or McDonald in the 5th or later.

I honestly don’t think we will spend a 3rd on him. It’s just the kind of thing Bill does sometimes with regards to reaching for a guy way early.

Agree, don’t really think we’ll spend a 3rd, but that kind of reach is the type of move Bill has made in the past. I’m just overreacting to the report.
