2019 Combine

They are some real Freak of nature type WR's in the Draft. It goes without saying WR is very Deep in 2019. Metcalf = Josh Gordon 2.0 I take back what I said about N’Keal Harry. Hakeem Butler kinda Moss like. That said the guy I am sold on right now for the Patriots as a possible Impact guy is Riley Ridley. The Pats took Two First Rounders from that shool alone last year. I think Ridley could be number Three. His brother Calvin made an Impact with the Falcons last year that's the knd of PLAYER we want @ WR. Wouldn't surprise me if they doubled dipped at WR good year to do that.

Kaden Smith too

Allen was basically a 4.9 guy. He's a great blocker and has had some seasons of decent pass catching. He may be an outlier, but it's not impossible to produce.

Combine Invite: Yes
Height: 6031
Weight: 255
40 Yrd Dash: 4.89
20 Yrd Dash: 2.85
10 Yrd Dash: 1.73
225 Lb. Bench Reps: 27
Vertical Jump: 32
Broad Jump: 09'02"
20 Yrd Shuttle: 4.37
3-Cone Drill: 7.12

I still like Nauta and Smith in the late rounds.

I’d like to see them bring in a vet for production’s sake and then one rookie in the top 100.

Caleb Wilson moved up for me same with Warring.

Smith and Nauta are just too slow.

Kaden Smith too

What was Kaden's time?? I am from the old school that say 40 times are overrated and some guys plays faster than timed speed.

Looks like Wilson from UCLA is quicker than I thought

Unofficially:

1st run: 4.94
2nd run: 4.93

Don't sleep on Smith I knew from tape that he wasn't going to run well. Probably would struggle to beat Brady in a foot race. But he can ball and gave sime serious pair of hands.

Right, but I wouldn’t draft a blocking TE until later day 3. With this class, I’m hoping they can find a Gronk/AHern-lite (or Gronk/Bennett) scheme again. To necessarily as my first choice for the draft (I’m a fan of a DT/DE at 32 for example (<cough> Lawrence<cough>) but a Fant/Smith and then Warring option would be good too. Two TEs that can be offensive weapons rather than a more limited blocking only TE. That’s what backup OTs should be used for.

I’d rather a TE can compete with a safety or linebacker in coverage rather than a DT.

For what it's worth, I'd have a hard time passing on Fant at #32.

He's not Hockenson in the running game, but I don't think he's awful, either.

What a monster. We knew he'd dominate based on his jump ball production. JJAW would be fun here to give us some red zone options.

It was our biggest weakness last season.
