I don't feel that we'll have a great handle on this team after 72 days, never mind after 72 hours.
We'll adjust along the way.

The aspect of Dorsett's game that I liked best last year was his blocking. Seriously. He blocked DBs and even LBs on the second level on run plays, in addition to blocking downfield on passes that other guys caught. He blocks with good positioning, technique and timing. And he's not quite as aggressive as Edelman or DA, but he's certainly not shy about it. It's probably why he was on the field for so many snaps, even though he wasn't targeted often.
Of course, he wasn't pancaking anybody - just delaying them for a step or two. That's often all it takes to make a play successful.
If Dorsett can catch around 35 of 50 targets for 450 yds and 3-5 TDs this season, he'll be a worthy #3/#4 WR.
I have missed the aspect of blocking by Dorsett but If you say so I believe it is his advantage.Yeah, about 500 yards would be fair enough for me treating him as a backup WR.
Do people really think anyone has a great handle on the team after 72 hours?
Oh, really? Didn’t realize that he fumbled yesterday, too. That would be twice in the first three practices, so that is mildly concerning. Let’s hope they are able to nip that in the bud. We could use some actual production from a first round pick, which has been rare since 2012, at least for guys not named Brown. He fumbled yesterday too, so it’s a bit of a worry. He’ll end up in Bill’s doghouse real quick.
Sure, but you’ve gotta figure that White and Burkhead are going to take the bulk of the reps in those situations. Not only would they be more comfortable with both the offense and atmosphere in game day situations, but they would also be better at pass protection against NFL competition. The doghouse threshold seems to be less strict for runners who can contribute in the passing game.
That was mistake with using the word "nominal". I meant typical, using mostly as a slot WR.The most productive slot guy in the NFL for three years (his first 3 years in the NFL) is nominal?

Etling’s mechanics/release are honestly pretty good. Definitely better than Hoyer/Brissett/Mallett. Won’t matter if he can’t play the position but definitely noticeable.
If Wynn's good enough to start at IOL, you play him at LG, because Mason is better than Thuney, and because you want to keep Wynn on the left side, if possible. This isn't rocket science.
And pointing to one play in the Super Bowl to decide Thuney v. Mason, rather than looking at their play over the entire season, is silly.
This is a nice "problem" to have. Mason, Thuney and Wynn is excellent depth and versatility. The interior line is solid with Andrews at C and Karras/Ferentz fighting for a roster spot.
Tackle is the primary issue. Wynn looks undersized for NFL LT duty. He's got the quickness for running plays, but the bigger stronger DEs will manhandle him. If Brown can be consistent and stay healthy, that might be work out. Scar is tough on these guys. We'll see how Brown takes to his new coach. Cannon is a proven RT. It would be nice if Croston would take a step forward this year. He and Waddle should be compete for snaps.
Offensive line, especially at LT & BackupsWhat's so tough to figure out about this team?
Offensive line, especially at LT & Backups

Defensive Tackle
Defensive End after Tre Flowers
Linebacker after Hightower & Van Noy
Cornerback after Gilmore
Safety: when do Chung & DMac begin a more precipitous decline
Punter: when will Brian Allen finally get the Zoltan Mesko treatment
