The Boston Globe's Mike Reiss just released his mailbag for this week, and made an interesting comment when discussing the potential Julius Peppers trade that never materialized.
"As for Julius Peppers, another hot topic in the past and the subject of a few e-mails to the mailbag this week, it looks to me like that one is dead," writes Reiss. "I'm not sure it was ever alive."
Reiss also writes that the possibility of Jason Taylor coming to New England will depend on how seriously the Miami Dolphins show they want him to return. He also feels that if the Dolphins don't step up soon, that he believes Taylor will wind up here in New England.
