2018-19 Stanley Cup - Bruins vs Blues

The penalty at the end of the game should be tacked on to the first 2 minutes of the final game !! Time for a rule change so that crap doesn't continue in the future. If it's egregious enough, a game suspension should deter that kind of thuggery ...JMHO

I agree. What Bortuzzo pulled should be adequately punished. He laughed at the league rules.

.

Damn! Tuuka looks like he's ready to puncture someone's torso, reach in, yank out the heart and start muching.......

The officiating has been abysmal in this year's playoffs. I really wish that one of these leagues would start firing officials after displays of obvious incompetence.

Lack of accountability is rampant through any organization you can deacribe as an authority in todays society. Cops, dcf, dor, gov't bodies in general, docs, refs you name it. Apparently giving enough effort to claim you tried while being thoroughly incompetent at your job is enough these days.

Ummm.....they're giving away a LOT of size to that other team. Our only size advantaged player has a broken jaw.

Let's think first.

.
Since when do you need a size advantage to whoop someones ass? Who isn't thinking?

Ok, awesome analysis, kid. How
many Popeye cartoons you watched today?

But sure, the Bruins are the smaller, faster, better team - why playi into St Louis’ obvious strategy and get into a goon contest in game 7. The Blues have been dangling that bait - the Bruins aren’t so stupid to jump at it.

In Belichick words “Do Your Job”.

I couldn’t give a **** about anything but the final score. It’s a fahkin’ game 7.

If we're comparing apples to apples, this yeard version of the regular season nhl was called as soft as baby poo. The suspensions made it even more clear. I'm all for letting em play and letting things go, but when a team is allowed to head hunt without responce from the league and fighting is all but banned, something has to give.

Hopefully the Bs are up big and can drop em and give these twats whats coming to em at the end of the game tomorrow. I cant think of anything bettet than the boys skating around with the cup while Shenn/Perron is still knocked the hell out on the ice. Who cares if they get a game to start next year. Acciari had the look of someone whos just waiting til the real consequences (booted from a cup game) are no longer enforceable. Backes will absolutely drop em if hes on ice. Hes been begging for a fight since this **** started and the candy ass refs keep stifling it.

Today’s hockey players, like other sports, are so much bigger, faster, and stronger that the hits are far more punishing than they were years ago, and there’s nothing wrong about taking hit to injure out of the game. It’s comical for message board poster’s to talk about how soft these sports are when the vast majority wouldn’t last 5 minutes playing them. Hockey is a tough sport, suggesting otherwise is idiotic.

And "theyre bigger than us," is analysis? Its time for your sponge bath gramps, maybe skip the toddie tonight.

It’s not analysis, it’s fact. You’re obsession with fighting over winning the game shows you’re overcompensating for something.

That **** is Cincinnati Bengal mentality. This is a Patriots forum. Block out the circus and do your job wins.

Never said its soft, just that this years regular season version of things compared to previous iterations is soft. Not really sure what there is to disagree with there. McAvoy's game for a legal hit that ended up high was soft. The suspension for the hit on Johansson qualifies as soft. The lack of anything for the hit on krug in game 5 is inexcusable. Go back and watch it. Elbow comes out to initiate, then out further to follow through/finish the hit.

And they haven't taken hits to injure out of the game, they're let the blues ride those to Stanley Cup game 7.

Just pointing out that trying to remove them outright without ensuring the refs keep things in check is ridiculous. At least in the 70s, a fella knew someone would game the player taking liberties with them. Now that isn't an option, and the league appears happy to sit back and let the carnage unfold. It's a joke. Remove fighting and keep the out of hand stuff minimized, fine. Take fighting out and trot out 3 blind mice on skates, not so much.

Not sure what's so difficult to understand about that.

For the edit:
I knew your locker is next to Slaters! I'm not allowed to want to see someone beat the hell out of one, if not a handful, of their goons in a fashion that rubs their and the leagues nose in it? I'm a fan, I'm supposed to get worked up and have poor ideas.

Given you're on board with the "Do your job" mantra, it really isn't asking much to expect the refs, and by extension the league, do theirs.

In case your glasses fell off amidst all the back talk, I'm already off your lawn.

Good. I was about to call the cops.

I’m not talking about individual plays and decisions , or about inconsistencies in calls, I’m simply saying that hockey is a tough and sometimes brutal sport, and people shouldn’t conflate head hunting with hard hitting. There is hard hitting all the time at any of the highest levels of the game, it’s the head hunting that has been dramatically reduced, even though this Stanley Cup Final doesn’t reflect that. Taking cheap shots out doesn’t reduce the toughness it takes to play the game, it just reduces bad injuries. The NHL is a much better game now than it was decades ago, we should want that to continue.

I'm recently divorced, full custody and she hasnt been keeping up with support. DOR's one and only job is to take her money, write down when they took it and give it to me. They cant do that without ****ing it all up and refuse to fix the error that is causing issues even though they admit its a mistake. They also hire out 3rd party accountants (or so i was told friday) which is absurd. Their job is to essentially collect and then act as a personal accountant for the parties involved. So the state creates a massive organization and doesn't even staff it so they can properly do their job. Welcome to 2019. She owes me about 10k, i have a buddy who was locked up over 600. I saw the judge in my case put a developmentally disabled (or so he claimed) black teen in court over a grand. So much for equal rights
How many children and what ages?

It all comes down to this:

The two teams have completely different styles. The first team to abandon its style to play the other teams’ style will lose.

Pretty sure we more or less agree. My issue with hockey/football is penalizing clean plays that result in head contact. The McAvoy hit that got him a game comes to mind (guy he crushed lost balance or tried to change direction and ended up lowering his head into harm's way as a result). A clean, legal hit that ended up high through no fault of the hitter. Happens in football all the time to. They shouldn't be penalized, let alone handing out suspensions. Then you get Krug eating a high, intentional elbow with his jaw and.....crickets.

There is NO way we lose 3 out of 4 games at home in 1 series. Plus we are the better team.

Unfortunately it looks like Griz isn’t going to return.

Yea too bad but probably for the best. It's only been 2 weeks since he ended up in the hospital with a concussion. His safety should come first.

How many patriots will be at the game Wednesday?
It's funny on Wed. As Pats OTA's end it will start 50 long days until I join my sports love again when Pats camp opens . A Bruins win and sport sites entertain me for weeks with stories of Bruins across the world partying with Lord Stanley. As the Red Sox struggle losing 5 of 6 at home but still remain in the WC race I wouldn't mind a Cinderella it's in the hole US Open this week to fill in the gap.
