With his combine numbers he is Woodhead + Edelman.

He might work out well as an Edelman replacement, and in general I like the idea of drafting Edelman's replacement, but I don't want to spend a 1st round pick on him when there are other positions more in need.

McCaffery, better 3 cone drill time than JE11 6.57 to 6.62, better 40 time, GREAT hands, proven performer at elite college program.

HE is the sort of hybrid player set up in backfield split out that would be a matchup nightmare for opposing DC's.

I could actually see BB using a 1 for that sort of weapon with that unique skill set.

If he going to do anything that James White and Dion Lewis won't? His big plays almost always have excellent blocking or when he's wide open in space.

He's Danny Woodhead 2.0, a nice complimentary piece but definitely not a 1st round pick.

If given time, he has the traits and upside to be an All-Pro slot WR. IMO he has more potential at WR than RB.

I'd love to be a fly on the wall of a potential BB/McCaffrey meeting.

Also, imagine a hurry up offense where you can have a WR motion in the backfield and take carries, epic.

Worst case you have arguably the best receiving RB in the NFL. Best case you have a more athletic Edelman.

I know McCaffrey is the new Combine darling but we basically have him in White and Lewis forgot to mention JD Foster . Can't see us taking a flier BB likes power runners which McCaffrey is not.
