2016 Draft Prospect Thread

Reminds me of Pig Prather, the Miss St SS from the 2002 draft, who also went undrafted and whom
I also wanted Bill to sign as an UDFA. Naturally, he didn't.
Amazing CBS Sports has 150 WR's listed ...
That number is so huge but explains how some good ones slip through the cracks due to sheer volume.

So ive been really looking at move/flex/hybrid TE's...

A couple of guys that I have my eye on, and im gonna make my best to pay attention on between this weekened in the combine and on their pro days are..

Tyler Higbee Western Kentucky
Austin Hooper Stanford
Thomas Duarte UCLA
Devon Cajuste Stanford

Higbee and Hooper played the position in college. Higbee as injury concerns though.

Duarte and Cajuste played WR in college and are projected to move to TE in the pros.

I'd advise you to keep a close eye on Dan Vitale and Glenn Gronkowski as well, both are fit to be Hybrid TE/FBs.

This draft had practically zero blue chip prospects, but at least 50 to 70 red chip prospects.

Good chance the player bb takes at 60 could be just as good as the player taken at 20 or the player taken at 70.

Some name players are going to drop and teams picking in the top half of the second round are going to feast.

This draft is all about scouting and medical reports.

Well I think Tunsil and Jack are blue chip players but beyond that I agree. This would have been a good draft to have a late first because there'd be plenty of value in trading back. Hopefully someone good will fall to 60. I'm tempted to just take BPA (within reason) at 60 rather than targeting a need.

Some intriguing guys for bb to think about.

Rb Marshall of Georgia. Really fast. Lots of tread left in the tires. Can be had on day 3.

Ot spriggs of Indiana. Not sure he makes it to 60, but he had a bad bowl game a few weeks back. So despite the combine numbers, teams may back away from him. Best zone blocking tackle in this draft.

Te McGhee of florida. Could he be the move te we have been looking for some Hernandez?

Random thought, but what do people think of Cardale Jones? He intrigues me as a developmental high upside QB3.

Athletic, enters with one of the best arms in the NFL, and has a much better mental makeup than Mallett.

I'm curious to see what he could be in three years under our coaching & Brady/Jimmy G in practice.

Granted a 3rd QB is a "waste" of a pick but if he was at our 3rd rd comp. pick I would think about it.

My guess, if they draft a QB is Kevin Hogan of Stanford. supposed to be very very smart. Just started to think that they're going to trade your guy Jimmy G to Houston this year. Don't know why, just a hunch.

What makes you even think this? And what do you think Texans should pay for Jimmy?

I thought when i saw him last year (when OSU won the title) I was watching an nfl QB, A guy with a rocket for an arm and a pretty deep ball. I also saw a guy who was making nfl caliber throws, he seemed to regress this year, atleast to me. Hes a risk

Like I said, just a hunch. They looked at Hogan at the SB, I have a feeling we want to move up in the draft and Houston are in desperate need of a QB and were linked to him the year we drafted him. As for cost, who knows. a 2nd and a 3rd? A 2nd this year and next years 4th?

Of course I could be completely wrong, it was just a gut feeling I had today.

If the reports are true seems like Billy O may think he can fix Kaepernick..

Or it's Rick Smith, Rick Smithing again...

I haven't heard about Kaepernick and Houston. Interesting.
