2-5.. Am I the only one who is okay with this?

In Atlanta, he threw 4 passes. Two were picked. And in his first GB game, he threw 14 passes... one was picked. So unless he threw the pick on his last pass, he did indeed throw 3 picks in 17 or less passes.

Again, just saying.

I see. Ok so to be fair we take off Stidham's first year so take 1 INT away. He's thrown 2 INT in 14 passes this year and Favre's second year he started fresh with 72 passes with 1 INT

Do you really think he has the talent and upside of someone like a Patrick mahomes or one of the other top tier qbs in the league now? I’m seriously asking because I haven’t been able to watch much to anything on him.

yes, his presnap reads are the best I have seen for any qb not named Brady. His arm is above average and his decision making and accuracy are better than any qb not named Peyton.
he makes all the throws across the entire route tree.

on top of that, he has a little mobility to his game!

but most important, he is a winner and makes everyone around him better!

There are two types of teams in the nfl, those franchises with a franchise qb and all the rest of the franchises.

we have next to no chance to be relavant again, until we get a franchise qb!

Lawrence is the best qb to come through the college ranks since Peyton. He could be spectacular in our offense.

Dude, I pointed out an example of exactly what you asked for. There was no mention of "starting fresh". Now you're changing your criteria because you don't like that I found an example.

I don't really care. But next time you don't want a stat matched, you should make sure there isn't a comp out there.

They're defining plays in that I can't think of a QB the last 40 years who threw 3 INTs in their first 17 throws and ended up a good or decent NFL QB.
I’m sure it has happened but who cares? No one having been in that position over a handful of throws doesn’t make it more meaningful.
you certainly can’t count the Edelman int as having any meaning at all for Stidham.

The comp doesn't fit. So Favre threw his 3rd INT when ? Definitely not his first 17 throws. It's certainly and interesting one.

Joe Flacco won a SB. Nick Foles won a SB. Manning when he couldn’t throw 15 yards won a SB. Eli won 2.
In the last 21 drafts 16 QBs have been drafted #1 and Eli is the only one to win a SB.

Lawrence is still a pipe dream

mahones, Brady, Wilson.

which one of these is not a franchise qb?

folk and the Baltimore qb’s remain the outlier. The difference is nothing they did was sustainable.

You said you can’t win without a franchise QB. It’s not true. And both Wilson and Brady won before they were franchise QBs

Do you have a better chance to win with the best QBs in the league, sure but that doesn’t mean you can’t without one.

in the last 13 years you have eli x 2, Peyton, Flacco, foles, and wilson who wasn’t close to a franchise qb. That’s almost half.

I definitely think Brady would have us in playoff contention right now, but that's irrelevant.

If you're going to be bad, might as well be very bad. So you can draft a QB like Justin Fields or Trey Lance. & the rebuild will be fast on its way. Josh McD has shown he can work well with good young QBs. I trust he can do it again.

I believe I said next to no chance. Nothing in this sport can ever be definitive.

If you discount brady there are as many ok, and had a good year qbs to win SBs as franchise QBs. The vast majority of SB winners add one time champs

6/13 isn’t next to no chance.

clearly your definition of a franchise qb and the world’s is different. I have 3/54!

I already said:

1991 Atlanta: 4 throws, 2 picks.
1992 Green Bay, first game: 14 throws, 1 pick. Unless he threw that pick on his last throw, it's an exact comp.

Not after the Pats lose to the Jets.

The Jets played KC hard, but Mahomes threw 5 TDs. Newton cant recall his last passing TD and he isnt carving up any defense unless its Pop Warner league.
