Let's get back on topic of Julio......hoping to hear something soon.

Probably should just save yourself the trouble and close this thread and any other future Julio Jones threads for when Pats don't trade for him and all the doom-and-gloomers come out and it devolves into "Belichick the GM SUCKS..." which devolves into another Belichick vs Brady thread because the Brady ballboys for some reason are still on a Pats fan forum even though they are fans of Brady and not the Pats.

I am rather positive that he won't be there Arthur.
lol, good point moose, if he's not traded by then, which will be a shocker, he's not showing up anyways.

I know it's frustrating because as Patriot fans, we don't care about other teams and it seems there are posters that are trolling but in this case, I will give them the benefit of the doubt because there was a post about Brady that was not needed. To your point though, if this banter keeps going back and forth, we'll have to lock this thread again unfortunately. Going to try and stay on topic going forward.

I’ll gladly leave the thread, so no reason to lock it.

The post about Brady was completely harmless and about a Top 100 list. People making a stink about it are ruining the discussion here.

This is from the This Day in Pats History thread, talking about the release of Harold Jackson. It's interesting to me that he was the same age as Jones when they acquired him. Things that make you go hmmm.

The Patriots traded two draft picks for Jackson to fill the void left by the career ending injury to Daryl Stingley. Although he was considered by some to be past his prime and only a short term solution at the age of 32, Jackson averaged 20.3 yards receptions over four seasons with the Patriots, with 156 catches for 3,162 yards and 18 touchdowns. He and Stanley Morgan formed an exciting wide receiver duo to compliment a backfield that set the NFL record for rushing yardage in 1978.

Jackson had eight 100-yard games as a Patriot, the best being 147 yards in a 1979 27-23 week 16 victory over the Vikings. He also excelled against the Jets: three touchdown receptions for 121 yards in a 1979 56-3 week two annihilation of gang green, and five receptions for 118 yards and two TD in a 1978 week nine 55-21 blowout win against the jete. At the time he ranked fourth in franchise history in receiving yards, and seventh in receiving touchdowns.

Jackson led the NFL in receptions, receiving yardage and receiving touchdowns in the seventies, yet was never voted into the pro football hall of fame. He had 29 100-yard games and ranked second in all-time receiving yardage at the time of his retirement.

When did posts that were "not needed" become some unicorn event here at Patsfans.com?

I could have sworn it was about Josh Allen at #10. I'm so bad at analysis.

To be fair to Deus, he was attempting to show that if we picked up Julio, he would be the highest ranked player on our team, based upon Prisco, who obviously is a complete moron.

Sorry you weren't included in the memo....now let's get back to the topic of the thread please.

My point is that threads wander when they get longer. It's not new. It happens in something approaching 100% of all threads of length. And, as happens every year, some of the biggest threads around here this offseason have been non-Patriots threads in the first place (See the Rodgers and Brady threads for examples).

And, on that note, I'll leave off.
