The Vikings didn't pick the 5th year option on Teddy Bridgewater.

Once was the #1 draft prospect that year, then Clowney took that spot.

It's a shame about his injury. He looked really promising but it sounds like he's a got a long road ahead to get back.

Eh...but if anybody can do it BB can..

Good. Get old and slow. Charles is 30 years-old and three years removed from his last 1,000 yard season. I never understand teams making decisions like that.
It's a potentially OK move. Certainly don't see it being any kind of game changer, but I think he could have enough left in the tank for a decent season or possibly two.

I've always liked Michael and was disappointed we didn't claim him two years ago when he was released and we had a desperate need. That said, this has to be an emergency list look just to see what kind of shape he's in. There's just no room on the roster for another RB unless an injury or surprising trade happens. This would have excited me in 2015 when Stephen Jackson was our big back in the playoffs.

OG/T Orlando Franklin was released by SD this morning, 2 years after signing a 5 yr/$36.5M contract ($20M of it guaranteed). Lots of different injuries during his time there, including 2 concussions. Still, he appeared in all 16 games last season, so his toughness shouldn't be in question at least. He will obviously look for starter's money, but as time passes and should those offers not be forthcoming, then perhaps he might consider going somewhere on a one-year deal for vet backup money, allow his body to heal with a less-strenuous schedule, and then seek better fortunes during the 2018 off-season.

Any word on our trick kicker?
Is he making the 90?

I have read somewhere (on twitter IIRC) that he was invited to the Colts camp tryout so he probably didn't make it to our 90.
