Not sure I agree with this logic…of anything, keeping Bill after the Patricia debacle is as much of an indictment on Kraft as hiring Mayo was.

Few thoughts:

- My gut says this will have more to do with Pats basically having an agreement to hire Vrabel in place before they even fired Mayo. Not sure what would/could come of that but I do believe it would be a big deal in the media and could be perceived as violating the Rooney rule.

-Mayo likely plans to never coach again as going nuclear (as this seems to suggest) is career suicide. Other owners will publicly castigate sanctimoniously Kraft, and privately blacklist Mayo. It’s terrible optics to have been absolutely horrible at your job and then blame everyone but you for it.

-I could see nearly ANYTHING leading to Pats punishment because…Patriots.

-Bob being removed wouldn’t bother me a bit…he’s old and likely not all there anyway which is how we got to the current state of the franchise.

Mayo had no problem going behind Bills back and usurping the job from him.

You know, I have to say that I heard some stuff, really really bad stuff. You wouldn’t believe how bad the stuff was. I read 7 pages and all I see is a bunch of fan/aggregator accounts saying that other people are saying that something is up, but no one will say they personally talked to a legit source or even what it’s about - just that they are hearing that other people are hearing that something is up.
