I think they'll trade out.

IMHO, it's DT or Edge.
Depends on how the draft goes.
OL would be next.

I think it’s either edge or OT. That being said, hopefully they stay faithful to THEIR board. If a certain player is the #1 player still left on their board, and an edge or OT they have highly rated isn’t on their board until day 2, they should take the top player on their board regardless of the position.

Also, history tells us, the draft truly is all about luck. There have been so many 1st round busts, and 4th or 5th round studs, so you can find starters everywhere in the draft. For instance, historically, we’ve been lucky with edge rushers and Olinemen in rounds 3 on down. Hell, we’ve won super bowls with UDFA Olinemen. So it’s not a MUST that we land an edge or OT at 31.

Unless someone extraordinary drops to 31, I think they flip it to whoever wants to draft Simpson and get him with a 5th year option.

As a tv viewer it'll stink if they trade down cause their pick is so late. That Ras IR dowling draft ending up with that situation and then we ended up with ras!

Its gotta be right tackle or DE. I can't imagine a belichickian pick out of this front office in the 1st round.

If we trade out into r2 I may actually prefer a 27 pick just to recoup some capital that we’re losing next year for AJB.

Edge is definitely not a must in the first, but what Edge rushers have we had luck with rd 3 and down?
All our best Dlineman, be that edge or DT have come from the first rd. Barmore is the exception and he dropped due to character/motivation issues as he was known to take plays off.
Chandler Jones; Wilfork, Warren, McGinest, Seymour.....
I'm not saying you can't find good players rd 3 and down because you can, but I'm not sure what guys your talking about us having luck with from rd 3 and down. Maybe they are just escaping my memory.
