Not everyone, I certainly wasn't
So maybe ask rather than randomly decide? I thought it was Andy's job to decide what other people meant.
No one but Belichick decided to be a richard to the media, the same media that is churlishly getting even in the only small minded way that can. It has nothing to do with any BS cheating crap that's just a cover for them being childish.
If you read the reasons people are using, 95% is Spygate. AND someone posted the breakdown here where it's overwhelimingly Spygate. Weridly, they also hold Deflategate against him.

LOL THEY DON'T WANT THE HEAT

And in equally plausible news I'd just like to announce I had a three way with Nicki Minaj and Christina Hendricks last night.

Thing is this, I have a lot of the spite BB has in him and if I were him, I will tell them to **** off and will not even attend it in any future if they decide to vote me in. It has become a farce. They thought they were being punitive but have ended up removing legitimacy from the Hall of fame.

Couple of points/thoughts on this.
#1. Like individual awards such as the MVP, they just aren't that important to me
#2. Does he belong based off on-field achievements, 100% of course he does.
#3. Is he an unlikeable ego-maniac that burnt a lot of bridges, undoubtedly.
#4. Was he less than courteous with the press and other voters throughout his career, again undoubtedly.
#5. Was he involved in cheating scandals, real or perceived during his coaching tenure, yes he was.

This is payback for all his years of being a huge ****.
Should his off-field short comings negate his historical record and coaching achievements, no, but I'm not surprised.
He will get in eventually, I see making him wait as payback, deserved or not.

WTH has that got to do with what I said???
Feel free to have the last word, people aren't here to read us going back and forth. Just please, next time my comments are less than clear to you just ask me what my confusing ruminations were supposed to mean rather than ascribing some ridiculous reason to them. Thank you

I’ve always thought the NFL HOF voting process was a joke, I think too many get voted in that shouldn’t be in and now the biggest slam dunk candidate in this generation doesn’t get voted in. This just reinforces my belief about the NFL HOF voting process being a complete joke.

So you're saying it was spygate

Such BS!! For 20 years he was the best, won 6 SB and went to 9. This is a popularity contest. Some decided to keep him out because they have an AX to grind!!! Pissed at this travesty!!!!’

He’s a hof coach but he definitely didn’t make many friends during his tenure. If he wasn’t our coach we would have hated him

When stuff like this happens I take solace in the fact that the teams that foisted the fake scandals on us are in disarray and have been for years for the most part. Jets decades of misery. Colts LMFAO and not looking any better. Ravens wasting the career of Lamar and now having to start over. Eff em all.

I think Kraft lobbied his way in and told them not to have belichick go in with him.

I think Kraft lobbied his way in and told them not to have belichick go in with him.
Ya, I’m sure Kraft had a direct line like some Bond villain to every voter giving them directions how to vote…..utterly ridiculous Andy

I think Kraft lobbied his way in and told them not to have belichick go in with him.
I don't think Kraft told anyone not to vote for Bill. But there was a sentiment that since only two people could only go in from that committee it wouldn't be two from the same team, so Kraft lobbying to get in would hurt Bill if it was successful. Alot of people felt if Bill got in, it would hurt Kraft for another year.

So you're saying it was spygate
People like Polian and Borges who are first class grade A douches will hang their hat on Spygate, or deflatgate, or whatever else they can dredge up based on petty personal hatred.
That said, when dealing with people, personal feelings/grudges/preferences will always come into play, just like with the MVP voting.
Do I think it's wrong and shames the HOF, I certainly do, but again I'm not surprised.

He wasn’t a huge ****, he just believed in not opening up to the media.
He is not an ego maniac, that’s bull ****.
When they won the SB he was asked how it feels to be called a genius and he said “I’ve heard idiot next to my name more times than genius”
You can’t really name an egotistical move he made unless you just say crap like “he did that because he thinks he’s the smartest guy in the room” which is creating proof of an argument you can’t prove.
The “cheating” has been debunked voluminously

Those grudge holding, jealous idiots who voted against him, have turned themselves into villains and Belichick into a martyr. Hilarious
That’s the funniest part. They held a grudge against “the mean man” who was not nice to them for so long that they ultimately made themselves into even bigger mean men and him into their victim.
