Mapu is an interesting wild card, he likes to make plays on the ball late in the game. Might be good to have vs a guy like Stidham.

I made this post last week lol. The parallels to 2001 are strong:

1. 5 or fewer wins prior season, turned around to an AFCCG or better this season
2. 2nd year quarterback having a breakout year
3. Same offensive scheme
4. The divisional round game was a snow game for both teams
5. Both teams involved Mike Vrabel
6. Every week, other fans said "that's cute, but they're not ACTUALLY good... They'll get wrecked by [next opponent]"
7. Both were the 2nd seed

Yeah I don't think Campbell will have too hard of a time. IMO, Campbell is basically a B+ or A- left tackle. He will have a difficult time against elite edge rushers, but how many of those are there in the game? Not that many. For 95% of his matchups in his career he will be fine. And for those times he has a harder matchup they can give him some help if needed. He will learn to be better at working with a chip as he gets more experience.
Correct

One more thing to note... bonitto started super hot and tailed off big time towards the latter half of season. He was projected to hit 21 sacks and ended up with 14 sacks. And last 4 games of season had just 1 sack and that too against a depleted chargers squad in their last game.

So Denver defense is definitely overrated . They are not that great ...

2001 Pats defeated Rams in SB 36
2025 Pats could potentially defeat Rams in SB 60
Will certainly be underdogs (though not as massive of a spread this time)
Crazy

Yep. And that year the Rams QB (Kurt Warner) was the MVP - could be that same situation again if Matt Stafford wins MVP this year.

So you’re saying if we beat Denver, basically Stat Paddford will win MVP, but Maye will end up winning SB MVP as Brady did in SB 36? Would be absolutely insane & marvelous at the same time based on the synchronicities? Wild coincidences..

on his 2-3 reps at the end of the game?

We use Mapu almost entirely on STs.

I presume that we will again elevate RB Johnson and DT Taylor.

I also presume that we will have either Hollins OR Chism active.

Patriots were league-average in calling Play Action this year (16th in NFL - 14.8%). Drake Maye was 7th in Yards off PA, 4th in Comp %, 2nd in CPOE, and had just the 11th most DB.

RPO's are not typically part of Maye's game; they want him to remain a passer. He uses his legs in other ways. He scrambled on a league-high 10.3% of dropbacks, producing 423 scramble yards and 27 first downs, both tops in the NFL. In the postseason, he has added 68 rushing yards on scrambles.

Under Center is a strong point for the Pats. 148.1 YPG under center, which is the 6th most. 11th best EPA/Rush while under center.

In the post-season Maye has 103 yards off PA, 1 TD, 1 INT, a 97.1 QB Rating and 10.3 YPA with a 70% completion %.

We're going to Win.
All this is great... except the ****s that write NOVELS, STOP writing fkn Novels!
