John Beck cut?

Finally, a "_____ _____ cut" thread that can't possibly lead to a "_____ ______ would look good as a Patriot" claim.

Rofl, this is funny stuff. The Fins justified taking Ginn cos they got 'their QB' in round 2 anyways. Looks like BOTH of their top 2 picks were busts.

Man I completely outsmarted the Fins GMs in that 2007 draft. Fins brass can't GM their way out of a paper bag!

Oh and some of the players I picked for the fins in the fan mock draft were beauts too. Levi Brown rd 1 (excellent young LT), Sidney Rice rd 2 (coming into his own), and Yamon Figurs rd 4 (one of the best return men in the NFL today).

UPDATE: Beck practiced on Thursday morning, so it appears that he hasn’t been cut yet.

All four quarterbacks are warming up with the receivers. But I doubt Josh McCown and John Beck will take many reps today. Pennington and Henne likely will receive most of the snaps in Saturday’s game at Jacksonville, and should receive most, if not all, of the practice reps today.

This site gets more unreliable everyday...

Aren't they the ones who said that the Pats were going to cut Moss last year?

Any Fin fans out there know if this "cut" is true or not? If it is, dang does that go down as a HORRIBLE draft!!!!!!!!!!

In this case, they're probably going to be right sooner rather than later. Beck isn't long for that team, the Tuna doesn't like him, if all the reports since he took over down there are true.

If you were the 'lphins, would you rather have had Ginn, Beck, and Satele, or Quinn, some other second rounder, and Welker? Doesn't seem like a tough call to me. . . .

I wouldn't be so quick to call Ginn a bust when we're waiting two years and I don't know how much longer to label Chad Jackson one. Ginn did more in his first year than Chad will likely do in three.

I know Ginn was drafted much higher, but I'd wait a while longer before giving him the bust label. And who knows about Beck. We all know how spot-on PFT is with their sources. Right, John Lynch.

You know we only believe them when they say something negative about other teams. You know that.

Once again, posts like these are more annoying than those threads themselves.

This god awful trend of sarcastically mocking people who consider new free agents is played out.

Are you kidding me? We're talking about John friggin Beck. Lighten up.

If I were running the Dolphins, I'd rather have Quinn, Satele and Welker, if possible. Of course, if I were the Dolphins, I'd have drafted Amobi Okoye or my personal favorite, Patrick Willis, over either Quinn or Ginn, since they were two of my favorite players in that draft that were available.

Nothing to do with you personally or any potential interest in...John Beck, lol.

It's just those posts in general have been plaguing the board this off-season and I've been making a point to protest against them when I see.

Fair enough. I hear ya to some extent since I was pro-John Lynch and some others...but this is John Beck...[and the Pats already have 4 QBs]

Me, I love the mocking threads!
It's fun to see those who take themselves SO seriously on the internet throw their little hissey fits!

I agree verbatim with everything you say there, unless the Pats sign Beck. If that happens, I would like to change my opinion to be, "are you kidding me, this cat was a 2nd Round pick - GREAT MOVE!"

Thank you for your consideration.

"The Dolphins justified taking receiver Ted Ginn with the ninth overall pick in lieu of Brady Quinn by picking Beck a round later. If/when Quinn ever plays — and if he plays well — Cam Cameron and Randy Mueller would be wise to never go to South Florida again."

Hilarious.

Say, wasn't there a young Phins fan here who guaranteed us that Beck was "The Future"?

Would they really cut this guy? They can't find a team willing to trade at least a low pick?
