The Injured Four Could Be Kept on PUP, NFI and made DTR on cut day

I think that we have plenty of room to look at upgrades without losing anyone that we HAVE to keep

This 54 man roster includes
Haack
Morton
only 2 TE's
Chism
Crownover
Obiazor
Swinson
Woods
all 5 injured players (if two are on not on the 53, that allows us to add Arkin)
=============
QB (3) Drake Maye, Tommy DeVito, Behren Morton
RB (4) Rhamondre Stevenson, TreVeyon Henderson, Reggie Gilliam, Jam Miller
TE (2) Hunter Henry, Eli Raridon
WR (6) A.J. Brown, Romeo Doubs, Mack Hollins, Kyle Williams, DeMario Douglas, Efton Chism III
C (2) Jared Wilson, Ben Brown
G (3) Mike Onwenu, Alijah Vera-Tucker, Greg Van Roten
T (5) Will Campbell, Morgan Moses, Caleb Lomu, Marcus Bryant, Dametrious Crownover
DE (1) Dre’Mont Jones
DT (5) Christian Barmore, Milton Williams, Cory Durden, Joshua Farmer, Leonard Taylor III
ILB (4) Robert Spillane, Christian Elliss, K.J. Britt, Namdi Obiazor
OLB (4) Harold Landry, Gabe Jacas, Elijah Ponder, Bradyn Swinson
CB (6) Christian Gonzalez, Carlton Davis, Marcus Jones, Kindle Vildor, Karon Prunty, Charles Woods

Total Players: 54

You're going too heavy at @ CB Woods and Vildor. Also Safety Jon Saunders Jr had very a good camp.

One of my goals was to demonstrate how easy it is to include all but the most marginal players on the 53.
I agree with you, there are few tough cuts here. In retrospect carrying 7 WRs may not have been that hard.

Another player worth mentioning is Baringer, if he is significantly injured, but he would just be replaced by Haack if so, so there is no real net gain/loss outside of possibly burning an IR-DTR slot.
Depending on the extent of the injury, they might just flat-out IR him, instead of wasting a DTR.

Sorry, I thought the 336 came from the combine.
I should have said A&M's website had him at 336.

I don't doubt he was 336 at Texas. They do slim down for the 40 at the combine. Maybe he is somewhere in between now? Nevertheless, as a rookie he does not have the muscle and strength needed. When he gets it, he could be a nightmare.

Doubt they will carry both of Haack and Baringer. Baringer will go on IR for them to keep Haack. Of course if they don't want to burn one of their "cutdown day" IR-DTR slots on him, they could carry two punters for a day, and then send him to IR after a day.
Baringer could be waived-injured also. If unclaimed he reverts to IR. Would another team claim an injured punter?

If we need to put more than 1 player on IR, one can wait until the day after the cut.

If Baringer is expected to back in a game or two, we might carry 2 punters, but perhaps Haack is OK for 4 weeks in any case.
Hack looked good enough that Baringer should be lying awake thinking of Wally Pipp.

We can have 53 players not counting Brown, Bryant, Landry and Schooler.

I don't see any really agonizing cuts this year in any case.

Vrabel could delay the decisions on Bryant and/or Brown by a week if he wishes by putting them in the 53 and then deciding whether he thinks they need to be out for 4 weeks. Hopefully, they are both almost ready to come back and therefore will be on the 53.

One option at OT is too have Conley on the PS and elevate him for at least one game, giving Brown and Bryant until September 20th.
I don't see Conley getting elevated.

THE INJURED
PUP Landry
NFI Schooler

POENTIAL DTR
Byrant
Brown
Berringer

They don't have an issue unless all three need to be out for 4 weeks, in which case one of them will be on the 53 and put on IR the next day. There is no reason to put Baringer on full-season IR in any case.

I don't see Conley getting elevated.
If both Bryant and Brown are out for Game 1, why wouldn't we consider elevating Conley? Is it really more reasonable to have Von Roten as the only active IOL backup, or are you elevating Rizy?
