PATRIOTS TRAINING CAMP 2026 Patriots Training Camp - Day 12

I swear. You're that whackadoodle who goes finishing in the laundry for a guy's jock so you can sniff it continuously, aren't you...

Is it really an extra inactive? Either way you have the same 48-player limit including 2 QBs. The only way the emergency QB comes into play is if the first two are both injured (or ejected), and he’s not allowed to play any other position.

It is in the sense that the QB3 has a non-zero chance of entering the game, while anyone else has a zero chance.

It would be a mistake if they didn't.
He's good but does the economics work out? If he has a good enough season to make keeping him a necessity, how much do you think he could earn on the open market? More than Doubs I'd wager. And that's assuming he wants to stay; he has asked for a trade after all. The team has Gonzo and Maye to get done. Do they really want 3 big contracts among the WR corps alone at the same time?

Strange ive been reading all week that lomu keeps getting beat, now in one day he turned it around. And yes who is drake silver? Grilled cheeses cousin?
Here’s Bedard’s actual take:

“ LT Caleb Lomu: I don't mean to keep knocking the kid, but after I go over my notes, he keeps coming up on bad plays. He allowed 2 run stuffs and at least one bad pressure that resulted in a throwaway. He got fooled by a simulated pressure, and Jacobs went right by him.”

That’s certainly true. OTOH I just looked it up and an emergency QB has only entered a game once in the 3 seasons that the current rule has been in place…and it was for the Cleveland Browns.

So to me it’s not enough of a tactical advantage to make a big impact on roster decisions. But hopefully Morton will turn out to be such a find that they’re eager to keep him!

Some guys fall into the right situation: plus he's playing with an Elite CB on the other side.
Yeah.. Because Vildor doesn't have any starting experience and just been a PS player his entire career... *SMH*

I believe that the Pats want to deal Boutte.

Its a shame too, but it will be better this season to give him his wish.

Kayshon Boutte continues to showcase upside, particularly with his deep-ball skill set. Despite losing some reps to blockbuster acquisition A.J. Brown, Boutte has impressed daily. He's either going to net the Patriots something in a trade or force the team to keep him on the roster.

We’re gonna smack teams around this year…

Nick DeGennaro connecting with Maye interesting.
DeGennaro is the fastest WR on the team.

EDIT: correction, my memory failed me. DeGennaro is second fastest WR, tied with Williams at 4.40. Fastest is Prentice at 4.37. Apologies for the confusion.

I said that bringing in Brown was a mistake. I stand by my statement. They aren't going to get jack s**t for Boutte because Wolf's a moron.

The only reason Boutte asked for a trade was because the Pats sent the signal that they didn't want him. All he's done is come in to camp and play better than all the other receivers.

I'd dump Brown's albatross contract to keep Boutte.
