PATRIOTS TRAINING CAMP 2026 Patriots Training Camp - Day 12

Maye and his receivers had better find some extra time (within CBA rule) to do some extra reps together and get that mind meld. The defense will not let the connection happen. Which is a great problem to have

Nick DeGennaro connecting with Maye interesting.

More of the same from Jennings. I think the 3rd back will be Larison or Jam.
It’s an interesting battle and a significant one, given that RB is the most-injured position. The #3 is likely to see a lot of snaps at some point. Larison is the more well-rounded player, but IMO Miller is a much more dangerous pure runner.

sure

It is quite possible that we have 7 WR's for the week after the so-called final cutoff date, especially if there are teams still interest in a trade for one of them. I don't expect to have 7 on the 53-man roster for Game 1.
Me too.

FB takes up a roster spot.

Some Comments on the comments:

1. Lomu supposedly had a "dominant" day today, just a day after he was a dogshit jag. What a shock. Pats fans can now come out of their bunkers and see the sun is still there and the sky isn't falling. It's TRAINING camp, folks. There are going to be LOTS of these ups and downs. It's the nature of the game. Kinda like baseball where if you are successful just one out of 3 time, you are a superstar. Same goes for football where if you are a pass rusher and win just 25% of the time, you are making 30-40MM per year. Conversely, if you are an OT and are winning 75% of the time, you will be lucky to be on an NFL roster. Kinda seems unfair

2. Starting to look like Devito might be a quality back up. Still very early, but I'm feeling more comfortable now. And Morton looks like he's a viable QB development project. Good for us.

3. I had to laugh when I read the blurb that our rookie LB was embarrassed by his 4.77 40 time. Back in my day, I was 4.85 LB who was considered a "speed guy" and was eventually moved to SS. Guys are just SOOOOO much faster now than in my day, Meanwhile, it's good news that we are developing some decent depth at ILB, though I'd like to hear more positive news on our draft pick, Obi.

4. In a strange way I'm almost comforted that Maye seems like he had a crappy day today. Makes him more "human". Also, it was interesting that in the blurbs that described the action going on, the writers couldn't actually bring themselves to come out and say it DIRECTLY.

5. I find it interesting that when Brown and Gonzales got into it the other day, it literally became national news. In my experience at an NFL camp (twice). Player "to do's" didn't happen every day. They happened EVERY full contact drill! So, it quickly became a big nothing burger that everyone quickly moved on from and never thought of again, let alone being national news.

6. Eagles coming to town next week, and those joint practices, even more than the actual game itself, will let use gauge where we REALLY are early in the camp. Can't wait.

Jennings never quite broke out.

Miller is intriguing coming from Bama.

Unless Morton looks like workd beater in joint practices and preseason games...then he goes to the PS. Can't carrry Three QB's over another position.

This is why when you see an easy head scratching INT either the QB or WR didnt read the play the same. In Corky Mac Jones case, he could not get enough power on the ball to reach the target.
