PATRIOTS TRAINING CAMP 2026 Patriots Training Camp - Day 9

Williams has the opportunity to beat out Booty every time he steps on the field. There are multiple ways to impress coaches, and not just when you know a ball might be coming your way... If Williams is unable to convince Vrabel/McD that his improving practice habits are deserving of more looks in nickel/dime sets, then oh well...
Exactly.

Come one man.
I like Hollins, but what drama has Boutte caused?
Not speculation, give us real examples of him being dramatic.
There is none.
For beginners, not showing for voluntary 2026 camp and requesting a trade.

You tell me to follow the money, then tell me the Pats have 1.7Million reasons to sit (inactive) a less productive Doubs and play a more productive Boutte.

You tell me Doubs has to play cause they are paying him right after I watch a video where Vrabes tells ALL THE PLAYERS ( but esp the rookies & UDFAs) ….. „ It doesn’t matter how you got here. What matters is what you do. If you take advantage of your opportunities; You WILL GET MORE Opportunities.“

Gee, I am so torn on WHO TO BELIEVE …..Triumph or Vrabes …..somebody help me decide
Doubs received a 15 million dollar signing bonus and his 3 million 2026 salary is guaranteed..

Thats 18 million on the line if Doubs never takes a 2027 snap. What NFL team with any sanity sits a player who currently is the 12 highest paid player on the team? Sounds like something the Browns would do.

Please tell me that you think Hollins is a better wr than Boutte. Please.

Boutte is a team player and has caused zero drama except that created by drama queens like you.
Well, we all know that have zero clues about the NE WRs.

You told us that Baker and Polk had way more upside than Hollins and now Polk hung up his cleats and jockstap.

Another great call by you.

How are there so many receivers...

So is the present theory that Williams = Tyquan Thornton now?

The other part of the team building equation is that you do have Williams for a couple more years, and need to see what you have in him with the ones, Boutte is also blocking that from happening.

Williams was much more productive than Boutte in their rookie years (yes, yes, different teams, QBs, coaches, ect...), has an element of speed/explosiveness that the WR core is missing overall.

If you want to keep Boutte for injury insurance go for it, but make him the last guy in the X rotation.
This is a coaching decision. They have to see it in practice from Williams.

The concerning thing is that he wasn't ever on the same page with Maye.

As for Boutte's first year... ummmm Mac & Zappe.

Well, we all know that have zero clues about the NE WRs.

You told us that Baker and Polk had way more upside than Hollins and now Polk hung up his cleats and jockstap.

Another great call by you.
So you refuse to stand behind your ridiculous comment and then double down by lying that I said something I didn’t.
You are a joke.

Ok you double down on Money talks.

I double down on Vrabes.
He wants to WIN. He will play the guy who (or guys-both) that gives him best POSSIBILITY OF WINNING.

At end of day TODAY, we are arguing about UNKNOWNS.. It can all change in next practice. …..done here.

How are there so many receivers...
I dunno, but I’d guess it’s not because we drafted them all.
So is the present theory that Williams = Tyquan Thornton now?
It’s early but may be the emergent belief.

I’m trying to get some enthusiasm for the possibility that Palmer was claimed off waivers as competition or replacement for Williams, as he’s also fast. Palmer’s forty time is 4.45, only .05 slower than Williams’ 4.40.

So you refuse to stand behind your ridiculous comment and then double down by lying that I said something I didn’t.
You are a joke.
You are a liar.

This 2025 Hollins thread is bursting at the seams with your stupidity in which you have repeatedly denied for over a year. Hollins As A Special Teamer

First you claimed that Hollins was brought in to be the # 1 WR. Then Hollins is the WR5 and finally Hollins would sit inactive. FACTS are that Hollins started 13 games, saw 68% of offensive snaps and started and caught a TD in the Super Bowl.

Here you predict Hollins inactive.

Only 4 are needed, the remaining 1 or 2 spots should be kick returners and young players with upside.
What’s a 32 year old inactive doing fo
r you.

This exchange is where you talk up Polk and Baker as the future.

It "seems" that you expect (absent injuries) to have a roster than includes Polk and/or Baker.
Probably. Why wouldn’t you pick the most promising young guy for the spot that doesn’t project to see much of the field.

What more does Hollins give you that outweighs the future?

Williams does have that opportunity, as does every WR on the team.
yet last season, Williams could not do that. and to date over 10 sessions, Williams has yet to elevate himself to practice with the 1's.
I have hope for Williams. but he is a 1 position WR (so far) with a limited route tree, questionable hands and struggled with the play book last year. he was force fed offensive snaps, with limited chances. he was able to translate 3 of his 12 catches into TD's however.
but with a team that has a QB that likes to use his legs, and a TE that is a questionable blocker, WIlliams needs to expand his blocking game, and expand his ST role.
otherwise, imo, he is a bubble player, and perhaps a game day inactive

Wow. You literally attached the posts and still lied about what I said.

I don’t know if you are the most dishonest person in the world, have a reading disability or are just a ****. Could be all 3.

Just to recap for the sake of ignorance.

During that thread you said “why did we sign Hollins to such a big contract then”(it wasn’t a big contract btw) and I said when we signed him things were different, we hadn’t signed Diggs or drafted Willliams.
Your response was this was me claiming we signed Hollins to be WR1. I immediately said no I never said that. A year later you post that thread as “proof” I said what I didn’t, you misquoted and I immediately correct you on.

Later I said if Diggs, Boutte, Douglas and Williams end up being our top 4 WRs why keep an aging journeyman to be an inactive, why not keep a player with a future.l? A year later you said I said Hollins will be inactive.

I mean I don’t know if you have a drinking problem a comprehension problem or an intellect problem but this stuff is really out there and you should get help

1 You tried telling us that McDaniels got fired because of Hollins. LIE and Clown shoes comment.
2 You claimed that Baker and Polk had more upside than Hollins. Clown shoes comment
3 You claimed that Hollins was the # 1 WR because Diggs was not signed yet. Clown shoes
4 You claimed that Hollins would be WR5 or inactive. Clown shoes

At this point you are a joke.

TIL Palmer ran the forty in 4.45.

For comparison Williams ran 4.40. Boutte 4.50.

Could Palmer be potentially here to provide a speedy WR in case Williams never gets a clue?

So cut Williams, go with the other 6 WR's, and keep Palmer on the PS?

Big and Fast one can only hope he learns the PB.
