2027 Draft: Cornerback

I believe he dropped something like 4 or 5 INTs last season and his missed tackle rate is terrible. There's plenty to work on for him, but there is talent there.

76.0 coverage - 1 INT, 6 PBUs
Run defense - 75.6
Tackling - 45.2 (yuck!) - 23.4% missed tackle rate

It's going to be fascinating to see if any of these borderline corners put up a Delane type season and vault themselves comfortably into the first.

Yup. That is right. Looks like a mini-Gonzo. And we save Carlton's cap hit in 2027. Need to keep replacing high priced veterans with good draft picks as the team grows to stay on top.

I think I posted this in the watch list thread but I'll put it here too.



What I like in those clips is that even when beaten, he's astute at watching the receivers body language and still making a play on the ball.

If the draft was tomorrow, I'd put a fair bit of money on Hampton being our pick. Slots right into the Carlton role and a cornerback probably gets the edge over linebacker purely on a value basis.

That doesn't mean I don't love Sammie brown or Chris Cole though.
