He owes the public nothing. If he was running for politics and he made a possible conflicting quote then he would have to explain a little more in detail. Because he would need someone’s vote.

The problem with this press conference is that it doesn’t put the issue to bed. It just creates more questions.

If he had the affair and admitted to it he could have said this would be the only time it would be addressed. Moving forward it’s all football. This press conference didn’t do anything.

What he said was perfect. You don’t know that he’s guilty of anything, you can assume and regardless, it’s noones business but between those involved. Can we get back to football and stop with the pearl clutching? Who cares about any of this, really?

For Russini, this is a professional matter because of the conflict of interest it exposes her to. For Vrabel, this is a personal matter. He's in a public-facing position so unfortunately for him he had to address is publicly, but I don't think he owes anymore than this to the media/team/fans/players. He cheated on his wife. That's really where the damage is - with his family.

What conflict of interest? Every insider tweet sounds like it's written by an agent or team front office because they are. Have we all forgotten that Shefter sent a GM a story, word for word, for approval prior to publishing? Rapsheet also admitted to doing the same.
