Great season. Exceeded expectations bigtime. Fun ride. For the first time in years this team is easy to like.

Obviously this game put a spotlight on a few things that need to be fixed before they're really ready for prime time, and I trust that they will be.

Yeah, I don’t hate Maye. I’m being critical of him because it comes from disappointment. I’m ok with the loss. I watched a lot of superbowls and this one was just an extra to me. Wish we won but what it is.

I think what infuriated me with Maye tho was both his body language and how he kept taking sack after sack and refused to throw the ball away. He didn’t seem fired up enough to me neither. He can and will learn from this but this was a game to forget from him
This is bothering me way more than the loss. The kid just doesn’t seem to have that dawg in him that you wanna see. The greats all do. Can that be learned?

Yeah, this one only bothered me for maybe a minute or two. Already over it. I wanted the win obviously but I got to watch a lot of Patriot winning football. Getting to enjoy this one was simply cream on the cake. I didn’t need it but am still happy it was there. Thank you New England for letting me enjoy another one
The Seahawks were projected to be the better team and they clearly proved it. Not like we got upset or made a heart breaking play or two that lost it for us.

Not a tough one to swallow unlike some of the others.

That was Mayo’s Maye returning. He defaulted to some bad issues I saw plenty of last year. He needs to play from behind a bit next year and learn to win and keep composure. His mind was gone after the fumble.
Also had another one into triple coverage. If that's Maye's style going forward they need to complement it with the right type of receiver(s) not what they had out there.

Thought he looked like Bledsoe on a couple of those sacks. Throw the ball away kid.

No they don’t, assholes do that.

You don’t have an argument so mine can’t be a losing one.

You have proven yourself to be an *******. It’s not an insult it’s a fact.

You ate the worst of the worst. You sit in your dingy trailer cashing your welfare check and cry about how embarrassing these players and coaches who are actually successful in life are.

I have no doubt you kicked your dog when you realized the win you think you are owed wasn’t going to happen, that is unless you had to sell your dog to pay for your Viagra because your cousin wanted a little.
Going to go out on a limb that you don't have kids, a wife and don't own a home. Anyone who has such hatred built up for someone on an anonymous message board must have a very sad existence. I pray that your life finds some happiness because you are saying some pretty ridiculous things to and about someone you don't know. Get a grip dude.

I want to keep the 31st pick. Great spot to get a huge upgrade at TE or OL.
Trade up for TE Kenyon Sadiq. He’s a true weapon on offense. He has improved his blocking as well. I’m hoping we sign some OL in free agency. Definitely need to hit on some WR & TEs in the draft/FA. Need some speed and explosiveness. Kyle Williams was a HUGE disappointment at WR. Need some players that scare defenses. Williams and Henderson were on milk cartons in the playoffs. 0 TDs combined in the playoffs.

As far as the TE position, you can add Austin Hooper to the milk carton. Glad this was his last year as a Patriot, he hardly did anything. Need to get younger and more explosive at the position. The one weakness Seattle’s defense had was against TEs, and we didn’t have TEs that could’ve exploited that weakness.

Maye got sacked 21 times in 4 playoff games (including SIX ! SIX times in the SB). Just can’t have that. Must improve the Oline. But it’s the whole offense needs help. It’s obvious that WR, TE and OLine are the Pat’s biggest weaknesses. Must address all 3. Most mocks have us taking an edge rusher, and that’s fine, but despite scoring the 2nd most points in the league in 2025, the offense lacks explosiveness on offense. They really couldn’t score in the playoffs. We were lucky our defense played lights out in the first 3 playoff games.

Sam Darnold of the last few years has been really good and it wasn’t like he lit the Pats D up. He played well enough for his team to win.
It does feel weird to say, but this game basically came down to Darnold staying upright enough to get a few extra first downs that led to field goals compared to us. They talk about trading 7's for 3's, but we were trading 3's for non drives. Like 4 more first downs in the first half, and it's a close game and that TD in the 4th is maybe the pull ahead score that makes it tough for Seattle to overcome.

Just couldn't get anything going

This is bothering me way more than the loss. The kid just doesn’t seem to have that dawg in him that you wanna see. The greats all do. Can that be learned?
This is what I’m trying to say but you said it better. It didn’t feel like he had the dawg in him today. I barely saw any emotion out of him. It wasn’t a good look imo

Drake Maye Needs a Young Stud WR and TE. Can we get out of both H Henry and S Diggs contracts??

There was a point this year where Campbell was statistically one of the best lineman in the league. Everything since his return from injury has been a total flip of the switch and I'm not sure whether it's prudent to chalk it up to coming back too early or if it's just better defenses really having his number.
They really need to go back and comb over all his snaps in wins against the better pass rushers through the course of the season because if we get into next season and it continues to looks like this against a much tougher schedule they're going to look incompetent.

It's a huge decision if we draft a guard and that basically commits to another 2 years of Campbell at LT or just draft the LT and put Campbell at LG.

They punched above their weight even getting here, but I still would like to have seen a game instead of the offense looking overwhelmed and like they didn't belong.

Especially because I do believe that young QB's can seriously be affected by losses like this and confidence matters (it's not a surprise that Brady, Montana and Bradshaw all won early and sustained it throughout their careers).

Campbell is another issue. He was awful these playoffs, but he also has been struggling since coming back from that injury, so I wonder how much of it is that.

Josh needs to really work HARD with Maye all off season imo. He needs to be better at reads and recognize pressure. He can't be boom or bust all the time

A lot of work to be done for sure. I actually worry about Campbell’s confidence and psyche more than Maye. Just how downtrodden he has looked after wins. I get being frustrated by your own performance, but hard to explain. I don’t like a guy seemingly more in their own feelings about themself than seeing the big pic of the team win.

Too much Eeyore woe is me in his body language for my liking. We’ll see what the kid is made of over the next couple years, but I wouldn’t be the least bit shocked if the team moves him to RT or inside.

Ummm...the game plan was apparently run the ball on first down 4/5 first plays of drives 1st half. They failed. The one pass? A 23 completion to Boutte. Mcdaniels was so ****ing predictable all playoffs w running on first down

Because that's how this offense found success all season. And Maye had a hard time doing otherwise. McDaniels had to pull trick plays from trick plays out of his ass all post season to even get us here.

One of the brightest spots of this entire season was McDaniels' playcalling, it was phenomenal, and I'm willing to bet when the All 22 comes out, we'll once again see that McDaniels schemed open opportunities for Maye.

I mean, you've been watching football for a long time, longer than me: what "creativity" even exists when you have bad OL play and a young, inexperienced QB who is having a hard time seeing his moments?

You wanna call for heads this off-season? I don't think anyone would be wrong for calling for better OL players. Now, finding them is another battle.

FTR: we are paying a First place Schedule next season: no powder puffs aside from the Jets and Miami.

Maybe Maye really is dealing with a somewhat serious injury.
Then the Pats will lose their 1st round pick for lying on the injury report. You just can’t take a player off the injury report if he’s dealing with a major injury.

Team needs some seasoning. Rookies on the line, Maye is in year 1 in McD's system. If they lost in the divisional round we'd be positive about Drake's progress and say he was on the up and up. Losing in the Super Bowl shouldn't change that. Guys have won in their first year in a system but they had experience. Drake is in year 2 and a rookie in this system. I hope he takes the offseason and works on a weakness and if he's still ignoring check downs next year, I'd be concerned.

I'm the man from Tennessee, Imma keep on smiling...

Darnold made two good throws, both on 3rd down. Most QBs would have beaten us.

Wrong on all counts.
I have no hate, you are an *******. I know your kind.
I have more happiness than you could imagine, that’s why I don’t go out and find a group to identify with and spend my life ****ting all over them.
You should spend the time you waste here out gathering bottles to return for nickels so your welfare check will stretch further.
