I have no evidence just my belief.
I've yet to hear anyone provide a reason that Lynch could say that and not mean it. Why would he?

Seems like you are ignoring a few of his very public statements at the time
I'm not. He outright said there was a divide between him and Belichick and that barring one of them changing, he was going to leave. People like to ignore that because he's praised Bill since. The reality is the one time he directly gave a reason for leaving he directly put it on friction between him and the coach. He can still appreciate Bill, but Brady's been very clear that issues at the end is what led to the schism. People are either going to take his words at face value or not

Bill should have left when Kraft chose Brady over Belichick.

That's the most convoluted thinking I have seen in a while. Kraft chose Brady so Brady left.

I believe that was the year. Bill wanted to trade Tommy to SF for a boatload of picks and play Jimmy G. Kraft wouldn't let him do it. Kraft hired Bill to run the team but rescinded that because of his belief in Tommy. I'm not judging any of that. Just saying once Kraft no longer let Bill run the team as he saw fit, he should have left after that year.
This boss/employer allowed his employee to always run the team as he saw fit. Not once did he override a decision. Now, one decision he has a right to override is trading the best QB in the league, and GOAT away to start an unproven QB. Bill should understand that. There were no signs of decline nor retirement rumors when it came to Brady.

If Bill had quit right than and there, so be it. But some decisions are ludicrous and Kraft was not going to allow it.

John lynch said he asked if Brady was available and BB laughed at him, so everything you say here is ********.

If Belichick wanted to trade Brady, then he shouldn't have extended him in 2016. That extension meant a trade would've led to a ruinous cap hit in 2017. [And that's setting aside the fact that I'm virtually sure it would've led to literal riots in Massachusetts.]

You are just making **** up now.

Sure BB drafted potential replacements but I have NEVER seen any believable reporting that any such trade deals were EVER SERIOUSLY discussed. Please provide a source (link) if I am uninformed.

And saying Kraft saved Brady is REVISIONIST HISTORY. Kraft FAILED Brady.
If he had told BB: ….
„Look TB is a Pat for life. I don’t give a **** if you mortgage 5 years of future out years to pay him now. But TB decides when he is done, not you or I. „
Then they would have done a contract out to 42 or 45 years old. And TB at TB never would have happened. Maybe TB gets his 7th w us. But RK didn’t trust Brady could play that long either. And he spinelessly wasn’t going to confront his HoF coach. So he got the worst of both worlds as a result.

But look where we are now. So all good.

People conveniently forget that Kraft is on record saying he negotiated Brady’s contracts then blame BB for Brady signing a contract with an out and leaving.

Robert Kraft indicated he was personally involved in negotiating Tom Brady's contract on at least two notable occasions, most prominently around the
March 2013 extension.
Key details regarding Kraft's involvement in contract negotiations:
  • March 2013: Kraft revealed that he and Brady brokered a three-year, $27 million extension on a six-hour plane ride to Los Angeles, aiming to keep Brady in New England while managing the salary cap. Kraft noted at the time that he had been discussing this structure with Brady for about 18 months to ensure he finished his career with the Patriots.
  • May 2018: Kraft mentioned to The Athletic that neither side was worried about a contract extension for Brady at that time, with reports indicating they had "negotiated" the terms of his playing status, essentially dealing with him on a year-to-year basis due to his age.
  • February 2023: Following Brady's retirement, Kraft expressed his desire to sign him to a one-day contract to retire as a Patriot, stating, "I'd do it tomorrow".
While Bill Belichick handled many aspects of team building, Kraft often intervened directly to secure contract extensions for Brady to ensure he remained with the franchise for his entire career.

Belichick chose Brady over Jimmy g
Not According to any reports I've seen, Matt Miler of Bleacher Report for 1:

According to Miller, the 49ers originally called about back-up quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo at the trade deadline that season, but Belichick offered Brady instead.
Brady’s desire to leave New England started in 2017 after learning that head coach Bill Belichick tried to trade him to San Francisco.

Darren Hartwell interviewed BB in 2020 and BB answers made it sound like he wanted Jimmy over Brady.

"It’s one of those situations where you’re not able to keep all the players, based on the situation that’s set up, which is understandable. I’m glad that it’s worked out for him and San Francisco. I hope it doesn’t work out on Sunday."

Belichick has made similar remarks before, openly hinting that he would have preferred to keep Garoppolo rather than trade him to San Francisco for a second-round pick in October 2017.

Most reports agree Kraft stepped in. Even reports from people close to BB agreed Kraft told him trade Jimmy not Brady.

Kraft isn’t making the HoF either

Not that we needed more evidence about bias towards Pats but here's another ridiculous decision. Both BB and Kraft should be no brainer choices

Kraft isn’t making the HoF either

Team have a lot of incentives to win now. Then BB and RK can tell the secret society to suck it!
